CRAZY COP TRIES TO ARREST ME & GETS OWNED!

This is the Rutland Police Department and Town Hall in Rutland, Massachusetts. The Town Hall staff, including the Town Manager Austin, were incredible, but one cop was AWFUL! When asked why three dogs had been left in an animal control vehicle that was turned off for over 40 minutes in 82-degree weather, he escalated and tried to arrest us for filling out a records request! Go figure, this cop is actually named CHAUVIN! Austin truly cared and went out of his way to resolve this, but I think this one cop is just too dirty for redemption!

Absolutely, PTSD is no joke and can provoke disproportionate responses. I think yearly comprehensive mental health evaluations are crucial to ensure public safety, otherwise the loons are running the asylum, I mean zero disrespect, I have worked in mental health in forensic units in excess of 20 years and I suffer from PTSD myself from physical and sexual assaults while in the workplace and I must be very self aware of my triggers and self care in order to deliver the service in my role.

When cops behave like that, the entirety of law enforcement and the justice system loses a level of legitimacy. When a cop doesn't publicly recognize the mistake of publicly behaving like that, that cop loses legitimacy. When authority is abused, authority is delegitimized. People need the chance to change, but when mistakes are public, the apology (authentic apology) should be public, if only to restore some level of legitimacy.
