Update 2015: Hey everyone, my name is Derek Song (Guitar), I want to give a shout out to Justin Conway for joining me on drums. This is a super old video and one of the first ones capturing my initial bluetooth guitar experiments. I don't have any effects built into my guitar here, but I did have a bluetooth computer keyboard that I reprogrammed so that it could control my guitar effects wirelessly. definitely a cool setup. maybe not as cool looking as using a hot hand, but cooler in that you could use the controller for more than just wobbles, which is only part of the dubstep sound. i think combining them would be the coolest thing. you could use the hot hand for a manual wobble, and the controller for quantized wobbles and other effects. and i imagine using a roland vg 99 and divided pickup would let you do some even crazier stuff what controller are you using?

@TheRealButtcheddaa Hey wow thanks! For the wobble I actually just used a wah and programmed my controller to change it at different rates. A wah is basically a filter, and they use low-pass filters when making wobble bass sounds in Dubstep. How long have you been playing guitar? You sound like a potential sound designer. @rchave I use the term "haters" to express that group of people that just feel the NEED to give negative criticism to whatever video. This was our first time attempting something like this but all in all, we are super friendly fun loving bros that want to advance our music through technology. We got some projects in the works, and while this one may be poorly mixed going through only 2 condenser mics, these next few I assure you wont be. Sry for playing the cymbals too much haha

Hey! I am trying to get that modded LFO sound live for our band stuff - Is it running through a controller on your computer or do you have a foot controller to modulate the wobbles on the wah? Can you explain that Kaos looking setup you got there? I use an MXR Blue Fuzz to get some dirty synth bass sounds from my guitar (suboctave generator combined with a fuzz and a blend knob - it's pretty sick get one if you can find one - awesome for 8 bit sounds). Are the wobbles preset on the pad thingy? And also is it a low pass filter for the wobbles like in regular dubstep? I Assume you are achieving this with a wah pedal? I don't know, I'm really new to this stuff.

it's a bluetooth keyboard. he has it connected to a laptop which also has the output of the guitar coming in. he mixes it live with preset distortions using the keyboard with hotkeyed shortcuts, of course that's an oversimplification
