we have a blue pup (4mos) and an (11) adult red nose. Great dogs. Pup came from reputable rescue- sit, stay, paw, down and potty trained. They love tug (always monitor them. ALWAYS). We have a bull rope tied to tree limb they love. 2 pitties on one side of us, 2 mutts on the other and and 2 black labs on the fence behind. They all run like hell. Be present. Do the work. Don’t over correct. Be a good ambassador for us all.

Thank you for sharing ! My girl was fearless, protective, steadfast and loving. Looked almost exactly like this little girl. God bless and good luck ! I hope your pup never gets the taste for fighting but if she does then just remember, you got a pit bull and it can easily happen. Also they can mistake children for small animals, especially under certain conditions. All that: « pit bulls are how you raise them » is bull crap. Their very smart, protective, loving, loyal to a fault. Just all around great dogs aslong as you train and raise them properly.. Dont keep them locked up away from other dogs and people that will lead to ither dog aggression or man aggression if not both.. Its easyer to tech them to attack than it is to correct their agressiveness.. Or in my experience for me they way i train it is easy .. Their smart but stubbern have the shortest attention span. But once they get it they are very good dogs. SOCIALIZE YOU PITS. itl help with agression and helps make the breed look that much better

I just recently got the same breed, same color. her name is Saturn!!She's about 4-5months. We have a older lab mix as well. The puppy is extremely hyper and playful. I'm not sure her previous owner set boundaries or try to train her. So far I've managed to house train her, kennel train her and teach her to sit. A few of the main issues I'm having is trying to walk her as she pulls really hard chocking herself, she playfully bites the kids, and agitate the older dog. My question is how can I stop this behavior and is this normal for this breed? How can I get my older dog to not snap or growl at her when she's jumping on him trying to play? Please help😂

@@thommygunn19 OMG she's much better now!!! She got calmer as she got older. I think it was just a puppy phase. She's nowhere near as hyper as she was then. Now she's just a big cuddle ball. Walking on her leash, she still pulls a little, but I found that in a harness she doesn't pull as hard. If you have an older dog, just let him/her "teach" the pup it's limits. My older dog wouldn't give her the time of day for the first few weeks. After I stepped back and let them sort it out, I looked up one day and they were magically playing together. They've been besties every since!! . Definitely reprimand the nipping of the children early on if thats an issue. Just Set boundaries early. For the most part your pup will start mellowing out as it mature. (Around the 1year mark for sure)!!!

Did she bite a lot when she was this young? I have the same dog and he just bites everything including my hand, pants, shoes & etc. I got him chew toys and treats but he just continues to bite my pants or shoes. Any advice? He’s 9 weeks old now by the way.

All dogs bite when they are younger its teething. Just say no to a bite on you, and make sure you give praise when they bite toys ect.

Okay I'm going to try to explain this as best as I can and as best as I can remember my ex-girlfriends uncle was a 25-year Plus dog trainer and he used to be a vet as well so he knows a lot about dogs and he told me that you do not want your dog to chew up your clothes your shoes and stuff like that so you have to correct it the same goes with the puppy biting but you do want your puppy to bite you somewhat you don't want to fully stop the biting so you can teach it when its biting a little too hard since most of the times the puppies are away from their mom now the mom can't correct it it's up to you to do it now, obviously the bigger the dog gets the harder they bite and if you don't start teaching them now you don't want your puppy as it gets bigger and older think that it's just playing and he's just playfully biting you but he's actually biting a lot harder than he thinks dogs are very smart so they tend to know when they're buying a little too hard but you also have to correct them and teach him as well so you want your puppy to bite you but you also have to correct it if that makes sense I tried my best to explain it to you how it was explained to me, it would make a lot more sense if my ex-girlfriend's Uncle would explain it to you but hopefully that makes sense and you can understand what I was trying to say, if you look up some puppy biting videos you might find some on here explaining it a lot better than I can im going to look if I can find a good video on it ill post the link hope it made sense though lol

I am a new owner of a blue pit. She is beautiful. She is 4 months and we are having just a couple of problems. She isn’t telling us when she has to use the restroom so we have to time her and take her out when we feel like it’s about that time. She makes accidents usually #1. The second problem which she is getting better at is being protective of her food. She use to to be extremely possessive but with training she is getting better

Everytime she goes in the house do not yell at her or hit her or any discipline at all..... take her out immediately and give her lots of praise when she goes 1 or 2 outside. Use the smae place to feed eachtime sometime people do it in the crate whatever works for you.

Some people say blue isn’t a real pitbull type.... but if it acts like a pit, crawls like a pit, looks like a pit, then it’s...... a pit. Of the blue variety. Plus your pedigree and breeder can help you figure out what you are dealing with. I personally believe blue comes from crossing red with black and fawn, but I’m not 100% sure. It is definitely a color that was sought out in the nineties and created by mixing blue with seal and more blue and so on until it popped up as a more stabilized color. That’s just what I think, because I crossed a white pit (Colby) with a fawn and black mask , had 13 puppies and one was blue.
