The infinity dress is exactly what my friend had us bridesmaids do for her wedding a couple years ago! They were all a royal purple color and were $68 each. And we all got to style them how we liked. All of us were different body shapes and style preferences, some more modest, some more showy, and we all got compliments the whole wedding~

Bridal stylist here! This is a totally common choice for parties to have the same color and fabric but with different styles. I do recommend purchasing from Two Birds NYC though, as this was their OG design and they produce ethically in North America rather than in workshops overseas. ❤

Two Birds definitely did not design the Infinity Dress. It was created in the '70s and called the Infinite Dress. It was huge throughout the '80s. They even had stores in malls around the world that only carried this one design.

The infinity dress has been around for years. My sister had one back in 2007, I think. It's very well known for being used as bridesmaids dresses.:) Used one back in 2017 for my best friend's wedding!:) purple!😁

My 11th grade prom dress didn’t come in on time so I ended up borrowing an infinity dress from one of the dorm moms and I definitely think it looks better in the video then it did on me! Still, it was really fun playing around with it, and I definitely could have done something better if I wasn’t trying to make it look like the dress I originally wanted. Also, I think it would be perfect for weddings both for guests and bridesmaids ☺️❤️

I love that you're thinking about ordering some of these! That mirrored looking breastplate one is so much better than the pink one you had made because it doesn't go all the way up to your neck! I didn't understand why they made that one that way! It looked like it made it super difficult for you to move around naturally in it. 💜

The pink one that she tried before was made that way because it was trying to replicate the original design by Tom Ford. The Tom Ford one goes up to the neck, but it's custom made, so it actually molds to the body correctly (and it's $29k). I think without the custom element, that type of breastplate will be very hard to pull off. I'm curious what the process is for the mirrored one being offered on etsy.

My friend did the infinity dresses for her wedding. The majority of us HATED them!! We all tried multiple ways to make them look good, and it never worked! After the 38th try, I gave up and did a twisted halter.

Same. I wore one for a wedding as a bridesmaid and it was awful. It was a lighter color and was see through and I had to get a Spanx dress and a strapless bra, so uncomfortable and not flattering at all. I was so unhappy.

Can confirm I was in not 1 but 2 weddings where they made us get the infinity dresses (also called versa, I think). It was actually not as fun as you might think the second time around, I just wanted a dress that I wouldn't have to worry if it was gonna fall or get messed up over the evening

Infinity dresses have been around for a while. It's really just the concept of being able to style the 2 large pieces of fabric at the top multiple ways. The material makes or breaks it for me. Some have very flimsy material. I have an Infinity romper made from wax cotton It's very sturdy. I love it.

Infinity dresses have been a thing for almost 10 years now. My own bridesmaids had them (each wore a different jewel toned dress and tied them in whatever style they chose) and JUST THIS PAST WEEKEND I was a MOH and we wore infinity dresses. They were the same colour, but each tied differently. I believe Two Birds was the original company to start making them and they were marketed as bridesmaids dresses via Kleinfeld's mostly. They're super flattering and accommodate most body types with comfort and ease.

The shark wearable blanket was funny but last fall at Sam’s Club they had shark, unicorn and other animals wearable blanket. I bought the unicorn makes a pillow when not in use it’s like a hi-lo plush hooded cape with buttons. Pastel pinks and purple great for Michigan cold weather lol. 😆🦄

When my sister got married, us bridesmaids wore very similar styles to the dress that she said people need to try for bridesmaids dresses. Everyone had a different style. That’s exactly how we had it. Our dresses were dusty blue, and most of us had different styles. Some of us had repeat styles, but they turned out super cute. It looked great. The dress I had I literally could style it at least 6 six different ways.

My bridesmaids chose the infinity dress for my wedding back in 2017 but in Lavender. When I was a bride, I didn't care if they all looked exactly alike. I cared more about them being comfortable & feeling confident in what they were wearing. Plus, they were the ones paying for the dress. I only had 3 criteria for their dresses: 1. Floor Lenght - 2. Material: Chiffon or Mesh - 3. Color: Lavender / Wisteria color pallet. So they all decided on the Infinity dress. They all looked so beautiful, & the way each bridesmaid decided to style their dress suited their personality perfectly.

The ski brand 686 has something similar that's a cold-activated fabric. At least they did when I was buying for a ski shop a few years ago. It would turn from white to pink or the pattern would turn from really subtle to darker. SO cool.

I had all 4 of my bridesmaids wear the infinity dresses all styled differently because each of my beautiful bridesmaids was a different age, different height, different body type and had different levels of comfortability with whether they wanted straps/strapless etc. They’re a great option and all of my bridesmaids said they were super comfortable.
