When do you feel is the best time of day to go? I’ve never gone before and was curious if there’s less traffic at certain times.

I go all times of the day. Morning before the sun comes up is usually the most inconspicuous. But I’ll stop at any dumpster during the day too. My biggest problem is going often. I’m usually only able to go once or twice a week. The more consistent you are the more you’ll find.

Hi! I go almost everyday if I feel up to it, I live within 10 min of all these stores. I like to go during store hours, waiting after they close someone might have already checked. But yes persistence is key!

How do you sanitize the makeup? And can you get in trouble for doing this? And have you ever got caught

Janice Tripp of course I sanitize it. Rubbing alcohol sprayed on will sanitize. I’ve never gotten in trouble and I’ve never been asked to leave. You can get in trouble if it’s illegal in your area but you have to research city ordinances. Where I live it is legal. I do not go anywhere that says no trespassing or that is locked.

Girl you're so sooo lucky! I went dumpster diving twice and I couldn't find anything! All I found was trash😂 went to ulta and same thing! They even break everything so no one can take it! Sooo rudeee 😭

Update: I went diving at three different Ulta locations near me and found some things at only one store. So, I took four large bags and went home. I ripped open each bag and in two there were filled with empty boxes of cosmetics. Then, the last two bags were filled with that exact makeup but COMPLETELY destroyed and damaged!!! After going through the dirty bags, I could only manage to salvage two jade rollers and one small mirror. Sadly, that was it. :(

I found the same vanity mirror! 2 of them actually. I looooove them so much! Got mine at tj maxx too. Maybe theyre just not carrying them anymore? Idk there was nothing wrong with either of the ones i found and the lights all work and dim perfectly. Awesome score

Usually there are little holes on the sides where the dump truck pick them up to empty them out. I just step in those, throw my leg over and hop in. But yes a stepping stool would be much better. :)
