Nightwish again at last!!! They got me started on reaction videos years ago. Watched thousands of their fans reacting. Also, been following you guys for the same amount of time and repeat watched your superb reactions. BUT! It's took you a minute to get back to them......please, please continue through their amazing catalogue and the bands spinoffs, solo Floor, Auri, etc. Brilliant reaction. If 'the blond guy' impressed you, and I know you love Pink Floyd (who doesn't), watch their tribute to their "High Hopes".

She gets hated because of her live performances not being as powerful as Tarja's was, but the truth is that the 2 Nightwish albums that had Annette in it were the best.

First lead female singer was Tarja Turunen( Finland), second was Anette Olsen( Sweden) and the third of course Floor Jansen ( Netherlands). You should listen to Over The Hills And Far Away and Wishmaster by Tarja and Amaranth by Anette, you won't regret. Thank you for the reaction(s)❤🤘👍👍👍

It was 'Amaranth' that introduced me to Nightwish. This made me curious and I wanted to dig a little deeper. The next song I discovered was 'Nemo'. At least, I saw parts of the Wacken-Festival on tv and Nightwish appeared with Floor.

From the Dark Passion Play album. First record after firing original lead singer Tarja Turunen. One of 3 songs on the album dealing with the split, this song is directed at Tarja. "Master Passion Greed" and "The Poet and the Pendulum" are the other 2. Anette , as you see, has more of a pop/rock style. Tarja is the most operatic of the 3. Some said Anette was only chosen because of her looks, this video seems to be poking at that. Marko has an awesome voice too, bass and male vocals for 20 years, he left in 2021 for personal reasons, sang backing and co-lead on a lot , and lead on a few. This video , as is the case today, usually has limited visibility, not available in countries like the US and Canada. To hear Tarja, recommend "The Siren" or their cover of 'Phantom of the Opera", both live in Helsinki 2005 (End of an Era DVD) , Marko sings with Tarja on both.

In the video for "Bye Bye Beautiful", the four male members of the band are replaced by four female models throughout the verses. Despite speculation, Holopainen said in a Finnish interview that the female doubles in this video have nothing to do with the removal of Tarja Turunen from Nightwish, saying "It's just pure self-irony and rock 'n' roll".[3] The four models are referring to the rumor going around the fans that Anette Olzon, the new singer, was chosen to attract more fans because of her looks. In the video, they make fun of the rumor. The video was released on September 27, 2007.

If you like Marko's voice and you want to see a different side of Nightwish, check out The Islander Live from Tampere (in 2015?). His full name is Marko Hietala: sadly he left the band for personal reasons in 2021, but he seems to have come through it and is making music solo again. There are SO many good NIghtwish songs to check out: one of my personal favorites, and one that doesn't get a ton of reactions, is Seven Days To The Wolves (live at Wembley). Think you've seen Floor being a beast? You ain't seen nothing yet....😈

May I humbly ask you to look at another Anette Era song from Nightwish - 'Meadows of Heaven'. There are 2 songs I wish to be played at my funeral not being morbid just want to leave this wonderful world to good music! Their absolute best material was with Anette, apart from Once, the last Tarja album. Recommend watching the Wacken live recording with Floor doing Ghost Love Score (from Tarja era) and Last Ride Of The Day (from Anette era).

The other girls were just actresses brought in for the video. The whole song is a put down from Tuomas to Tarja - showing how she messed him so bad, but now she really wasn't needed anymore- hence "Bye Bye Beautiful" But then the song Poet & The Pendulum" shows how bad the whole episode affected Tuomas. There is a video on YT which shows how the whole casting and rehearsals for this was done - well worth a watch and reaction.

Floor Jansen, the now gorgeous Dutch Nightwish singer, sings Phantom Of The Opera with Dutch classical singer Henk Poort. Please, please check out this version. Go your typical nuts when you hear that last note...I love you guys. I'm a singer from that generation that you are discovering more and more. I wish I could amaze from all this music - hearing it for the first time. Cool.

Great reaction! This song is directed at their original singer Tarja. She left the band resp. got kicked out before she could leave on her own terms. Check out a song of their last concert together with Tarja: end of an era. I suggest Phantom of the opera or wish i had an angel. Beware! Tarja has an unique style of singing which is not common for metal bands 😉.

Anette Olzen replaced Tarja Turunen as the female vocalist in Nightwish in 2007... The fans gave her a hard time because she came in as a pop singer and was not operatically trained like Tarja (or Floor Jansen) Anette was great on the Nightwish songs she sang but the live performances were difficult for her to sing Tarja's songs like 'Wishmaster'... 'Ever dream' ... 'Nemo'... 'Dark chest of wonders'... Anette had to strain her vocals cos she didn't have those high registers. As a result, Nightwish had to drop songs from their past sets like the cover of 'Phantom of the Opera' ... 'Wishmaster' ... 'Elvenpath'... etc. and focus on the newer songs in concert. Anette did her best and was great for a while... Her time came to a close on the 2012 tour when she was not quite as active on stage as she had been cos she had gained weight and was pregnant on tour... Anette refused to take a break and got sick on the US tour. Nightwish had no choice but to send her home w/ her pink slip and flew singer Floor Jansen in to finish the tour, who was better vocally for the band, ultimately... Markco Hietala was the bassist/ vocalist of the Finnish hard rock band Tarot since the 80's... In 2001, he was asked to join Nightwish and sing the male lead vocals for the band w/ Tarja... Fans also gave him a hard time cos they didn't like seeing him duet w/ Tarja onstage... Tuomas Holopainen (keyboards) wrote 'Bye, bye beautiful' ... as a farewell to Tarja after she was fired from Nightwish in 2005 ... Marko Hietala sang lead but later, he said he was not happy w/ the way Tarja was fired ... and he had issues w/ the band's business. After leaving Nightwish in 2021, Marko reconciled w/ Tarja and even toured w/ her as a solo artist... Anette and Tarja actually became friends after Anette was out of Nightwish and she is currently a solo artist as well.

They are a Canadian Melodic Hardrockband that is often and mainly influencef by Queen and Def Leppard. They are around since 1987 and have released more than a dozen Albums. They are so good, guess you will really like them since your Reactions to Van Halen with Sammy Hagar are the best and with Harem Scarem you also have an outstanding Singer and a great Shredding Guitar player.
