Never a penalty, Cosgrove new what was coming and went down to easily. Ref spotted that and rightly didn’t give a penalty. Majority of Barnsley fans absolutely brilliant but there were a few empty seats appeared at half time. Good luck for the future.

Disappointed to lose the tie overall but not too proud to say to the Bolton fans- best of luck at Wembley lads. Those sloppy goals that we conceded at Oakwell on friday night proved very costly in the end. Thats football though, take the rough with the smooth. Very gracious in defeat as you typically are and say it as it is. You gave it a go and some hope for next year with that spirit. Showed the usual Barnsley grit and determination I'd expect. Proper football club you'll regroup and go again as you do. I didn't go last Friday and I've still in about 10 games v Barnsley over the years seen us beat you once in a league cup game. Saw big John Parkin in one of our boozers beforehand what a great chap he is. Good luck with next season hope we aren't playing you again any time soon though.
