One of these times I want to see someone take all the Ox and play 19 lands and just continually tap everything down the opponent has. Everyone passes the Ox, you could probably easily get 6. :)

But you can only tap on your turn, which makes it kinda bad defensively

@@KiKar31 The idea would be to grind it to the point you can have at least a couple ox out and use it all offensively at that point. I mean sure, it's not a Clerics deck, but it's something different and I'd like to see if one of these guys could put something together that would work. Again, just something different.

Amazing how you can run a low-land deck in magic and still draw 4 lands in a row after keeping 3 in starting hand.

not really. most basic ratios and average openers will leave you with a with 40-50% chance of drawing a land. If you flip a coin a thousand times sometimes you get same result 4 times in row. Doesn't really sound so shocking when there isn't emotional tie to the probability.

So with 15 lands in a 40 card deck, your odds of drawing 4 straight land assuming you had 3 in opening are a little over 1.2%. 1.2% isn't even that unlikely in a card based game where you're constantly rolling dice

AquaticSkipper the odds of drawing 4 straight are irrelevant, the odds of drawing one each of those turns are far higher and when you look at it from turn to turn all of a sudden it’s not astonishing at all it’s just the way she goes. I will never understand why people think of this game in terms of the odds of drawing x for x turns. The odds of drawing a land on turn one alone are well over 30%. I’m pretty sure for each turn it would be turn 5 or 6 before the odds of drawing a land are below 30% on any single turn.

When making your decision on whether to mulligan you're talking about your odds of drawing 4 straight lands - which would be a little over 1% chance therefore you don't play around that small of a chance. Yes - we understand that the odds of drawing a land on each turn is 'only' 30%, but the odds of hitting a land drop sequentially over four turns is much lower.

Arlithian if you’re making your mulligan decisions based on “do I want this hand if I’m gonna draw four lands in a row” either because you need them or because it would be the worst outcome you are not thinking in the right space to win games

I can’t stand how slow people are in the pod drafts on arena. Some people literally get stuck with like 7 packs...

It drives me mad. I can take a card and wait for 2 minutes until I get the next pack. It shouldn't take more than a maximum of 30 seconds to pick, and that's also quite enough time.
