Kev, as a Cornish man I love Devon roads, they make Cornish roads look really good. If you're ever at Morton Hampstead take the 'A' road to Bovey Tracey, single track, blind and twisty. It goes past the Thompson's depot so artics are not unknown. Keep taking the tablets!

I used to taxi drive on those lanes, around Hemyock, often saw truck-bus, ltruck-truck and truck car getting stuck, especially Hemyock-Uffculme etc, often would be fun and games, saw why you loved it lols 😂, those lanes were awful for stuck vehicles,great video keep up the work .

Nearly got that RAV4 to fire up but unfortunately not having any of it. How in heavens name do these people send vehicles down ridiculous country lanes as official diversions. Not every driver is as good as you are in getting through these lanes. Thanks for a great video. Stay safe and take care.

With a better battery I believe that would of started but that battery was too weak to warm up the glow plugs fully

Love the video.In a 26 TN lorry. I was sent in a diversion but there were 2 in place. Single lane. Same road, different directions. Caused so much confusion. Lol

Love the lanes near Hemyock, I used to live just a few miles from there, was fun a couple of years ago when we got snowed in and couldn't get down the lanes.

Ah my local roads in Devon. Many years ago I took a truck over the bridge in Culmstock, I was breathing in like you were, I remember the pedestrians had to slip into the refuges while i passed.

Maybe those roads are closed due to the local council resurfacing the roads with tar and chippings that's what they do here in North Yorkshire, Had to laugh at your comment at the low trees and trimming the bush 🤣 Good video as usual 👍

It looked like at least one was at the behest of South West Water. Wouldn't have been DCC tar and feathering the road, that is reserved for main roads.

Hi kev,love these kind of videos showing us your daily struggle,these diversions don't take into account big viechles,I beg if you was to stop and pee in a hedge people would go mad but it's a cyclist so they can do what they want,those lanes and B roads just zap your time don't they,I live in between Newton about and torquay so would love to spot you and say hi when your down his way,when your driving with 3 on the top and empty on the bottom does it make it a bit dodgy to drive with all the weight up top?,loving the longer video again kev thankyou,have a good safe week,cheers 👍

Come on, Kev, sort out the sound balance. I have to turn the volume up to hear you speaking, then the repetitive synth music blares out, and I'm cranking it down again to keep my windows in their frames! - - - There's a 'diverted' bridge very like that one, near me - definitely NOT an HGV route, down a narrow lane - down a steep hill, hairpin right, over a hump over the canal, then immediately a Tee junction. The number of three-tonners and greater that have tried that, and put the bridge parapets into the canal in the process - - !!!!

People living out in the Countryside do get a bit secular don't they but it was a Public road and you had to follow the diversion signs. As regards the Pelmet, I thought you were driving a Pakistani truck, they really go for it don't they, fantastic looking things.
