How did NRG go from beating G2 to this?

Three things tbh. Maybe 4. 1: NRG has always (clg included) played to the level of their competitors. They're not clean but they're usually a team that both wins, and loses as a team. Right now, they look a bit lost as a team. 2: meta. It's similar but different enough that small changes in champions can make certain teams look waaay worse than they may actually be. 3: confidence. NRG is absolutely confidence-based team, and if their fans are questioning how good or bad they are, the players definitely are. A potential 4th copium is just theyre actually horrible in spring, and better in summer. PS: g2 are scrim kings but they show most of their strats during them so even when they win them, they'll lose series vs smart teams because they know how to prepare vs them. But even with all that, they just look so bad atm. Hopefully they take the break during MSI to re-evaluate and refocus on what made them a good team in the latter half of 2023.
