I remember this as if it were yesterday. It was actually nearly forty years ago. Thank you for the memory.

Every time I see Crazy Legs Crane,I think of him ad a ANIMATED Big Bird. I guess the people at the Children's Television Workshop never thought of using Crazy Legs Crane on "Sesame Street". Or maybe DFE asked CTW,and they said "NO!"

Ha ha somebody who had the same thoughts I did. When I first saw a Crazy Legs cartoon for the first time, I said to myself: “ is that Big Bird’s forgotten uncle who got banished from Sesame Street?!”. Design wise, I think the elements that make him look Big bird-ish are both his obviously yellow coloring and his sleepy eyes. That’s just Big Bird’s Crane relative. XD

This cartoon has some of the best dialogue. "Ya treacherous piece of junk! I never wanna see you again!" "I ain't so dumb, you know! I gotta outrun this thing!"

Not a completely bad ending for 😜 Legs. At least he got the weed away from his 🌸.

I think he deserved it. Berating the poor dragonfly like that, when Crazylegs himself is a danger to his own flower. How rude! 😠

Despite being a funny cartoon, the majority of this story was borrowed from the 1946 Walter Lantz cartoon "The Wacky Weed", in which Andy Panda battles a cartoon weed from destroying his flower.
