Tip - whenever you set off for a long trek, particularly involving camping, you want ten Snickers per person. Absolute GODSEND when you're in a sticku position. Just remember, no matter how much you plan and how stocked you think you are, at some point something will go wrong and you'll think "dang! I REALLY wish I had a snickers right now!" I'm not kidding either.

Another tip is - talcum powder. You got wet. In those conditions, you don't warm up unless you get dry properly. Get into a tent, get some heat on, strip off and talc. Get dry, and change inner clothes to dry. Lifesaver.
