I have a footage where the sky has a similar contrast with the foreground. The keying doesn't work but I tried magic mask-object mask and it works really well.

Hi Joris. I appreciate the simplicity of your instruction. I am trying to follow your instruction step by step, but something is off on my end. I went to the color page and reduced the warmth and tint, and then I added a node, to then go to qualifier > 3d > + and then effects > Sky replacement > connect the blue square from node 2 to the blue square on the sky replacement effect. It is not making any change… and I noticed that your nodes have the thumbnails of your thumbnail on them. But when I add a node or the Sky Replacement effect, the thumbnail of my clip is not on there. But in your video, it automatically has the thumbnails in the added nodes. Btw, I am using the iPad version. Thank you for being helpful!

Great feature... Good walkthrough... but I don't understand the Premiere Pro bashing. It has some tools in it that are outstanding. Also, the AfterEffects, Photoshop live linking are a must for certain jobs. I know Fusion quite well... but it's overly complex for certain things that you can do in After Effects in 1/4 of the time. The "right tool" is whatever gets you paid.

Just watched this again after a long time, great video as always but how can i use a skey that i bring in, i have seen it dont in the studio version but not the free version. would it be something to do with a layed clip and alpha output?, maybe a video on how to do it would be really good if there is a way all the best to you

Can you show the source sky replacement part? and also show how to add a moon. I figured I would just render that footage in place make a compound clip and add it in fusion but it seemed like the whole point of this was to make it simpler

It think it's because I was using low quality 1080 footage. I think if you use high quality 4K footage, it's easier to keep the details.

Pretty sure this is only a matter of resolution of your screen and not something you can actually modify. I work on a macbook air, and I also have the two panels (pretty gutted about that, I enjoyed having the curves always at hand). When I was on a bigger resolution screen, I had three panels.

Hey Joris, I've been struggling in setting up a good software layout in Davinci. What i mean is in your color correction tab, you could see the clip section, the nodes, the fx and inspector tab, everything soo well all at once. What i have to do is hide one of them to see the other. How do I fix that?

Well, you have to keep in mind that I'm using a 4k monitor so I have lots of space. On smaller screens it's not possible to show everything like that.

Being a Linux user this is a Pain in the ass. One has too uninstall, restert, Then convert the run file to a deb file then re enter the registration numbers. Why can't these people come out with "Plug-ins" for things like this. I'm not dealing with MAC, Windows and or blowing my system up over an update that could easily be done as a plug in.

Lost me at add new node. What type of new node? (serial, parallel, etc). There are 5 to choose from. Amazing how a simple task turns into 1 hour of struggle because creator makes assumptions, and not instructions.

I hate the fact that from now on you can't as a viewer trust any video or photo to be realistic or authentic with all the AI artificial intelligence technology. As a medium of documentation of stories made by journalists about "real world" events, the new generation of young people are forced to learn not to trust the media and advertising and fashion photos. So sad, even though I understand the creative potential for photographers like myself. By the way the photo is 1 miles from my home in Copenhagen, Denmark. It's the main pedestrian street.
