I am so happy for hihi. He navigated his plays perfectly, he might have made slight mistakes here and there but thats to be expected from such a hard deck to pilot. I think the most impressive thing is that most of the matches he won, didn't involve the FTK at all. The opponent gets to build their 5+ negate board and hihi still manages to break it and go for lethal. I hope we end up seeing more gimmick puppet in the future, its such an incredibly entertaining deck to watch. Even in the games he won I felt like the opponent had options. Hopefully this also shows people how easy it is to stop the FTK. Most of the matches 1 single hand trap would stop the FTK completely.

The GP Top 4 fumble at the end was a mistake because you don't summon a second strings, you chimera with the ressurected Fantasix then chimera special summon the Rouge you recovered from grave, normal summon baby, for strings, pop Cattle, xyz strings, pop the ressurected Dark strings

44:37 he was suppose to link summon the puppet and not xyz summon it. Link summon the Puppet, add the baby, special summon the lvl 8 gimmick from the hand and then normal summon the baby, special summon the darkstring from the graveyard, its effect will activate and pop the cattle. Activate the soldier from the graveyard and make baby lvl 8 and xyz summon string and put a string on darkstring. Rank up string to darkstring and pop the other darkstring.

My guess was the hand might have thrown the puppet player off since there was no monster to NS in the beginning. If condolence puppet wasn't in hand, he wouldn't have had the ftk ftk at all.

i am not sure by the g..ukp of gimmick in third match, buuut, i am pretty sure he shouldnt use Rank-up for second dark strings, he was supposed to use fantasix and C Strings into chimera doll, then grab baby, summon Rouge, baby summon C Strings (trigger - still having RUM in hand), use soldiers in GY (make them lvl 8) make Strings, put marker on C strings and use RUM to summon another C Strings - making it over lethal - essentialy, they made second Cstrings too early, missing RUM for the last thing in his turn Rouge doll is enough to kill if you have extender or levle 8 in hand, but got countered by imperm on fanatix (getting RUM)

Gimmick puppet has everything for a modern deck to be good, regardless of the main boss monster effects... Unaffected by card effects and cant be destroyed by battle aswell from fieldspell (which also searches and starts the combo... yeah why not), cant be targeted, cant be chained to, has big beaters and full monster wipe options.. Can go first and second easily.. honestly it feels more broken then tenpai is. Tenpai cant really go first, 1 finger stops everything. This deck however as we saw can do both very easily. And if you didnt noticed the player who won didnt even normal summoned till the end. Yeh, to much gas. Decks like this powercreep everything else. Tenpai is only good because of the fieldspell protecting every interruption and well nearly all tenpais are a 1 card starter... Pure dinos for example are also extremly good when misc in hand. But they lack of consistency and extenders. If they have misc they probably win, either by go first and have both rank 4 dino xyz or go second and smash with tyranno.
