phoveus is actually quite easy to use. I rarely use him but i would 70% win if i use him (if enemy has multiple heroes with dash skills ofc) hes quite tanky and his dmg is pretty decent.

Yo Gen, try to use Phoveus and go duo with a Ruby, since everytime Ruby uses her ult and 2nd skill will make enemies dash closer to her, which triggers Phoveus ult and allows you to spam it for a total of 4 times excluding the enemies using blink skill which is alot. The enemies will easily retreat in a few seconds, unless its Martis and Kadita.
