I can’t never understand the hate Mike Brewer gets, he’s a really nice guy.. Always happy to see others succeed in a trade where most would see others as the enemy… the hate I’ve seen is absolutely disgusting! If he has a stint of ford focus and vectras, he's buying boring stock that are saturated. Yes, per 10 purchases, he may buy a lemon, but averages are 9 won't be. However, he'll make at least 3 x the profit across them 9 perfect everyday cars, and them 9 swallow the cost of the lemon.

I’ve owned mostly BMW but also Lexus ,VW, Volvo , Ford , Nissan etc etc . I was told that with newer 4 cylinder turbo engines that upon startup especially cold start, to wait until the rpm,s settle way down to 700 and up on completion of your trip put in park , turn accessories off before turning off engine.

i have a Mk1 3 MPS (same engine) Joe and that one sounds rough. They are noisy and sound a bit diesel like. They are a 2.3L turbo 4 cylinder, not a 2.5L 5 cylinder like the Focus ST. Fun cars, but they eject rods through the block fairly commonly and suffer from low compression on cylinder 3. Road tax on the Mk1's are over £700 a year now too which will put a fair few people off. Not sure what the tax is like on the Mk2 but they're less because the gearbox gearing is different and emissions are lower.

2.3 DISI on Mazda2 MPS. Yip this 3 was also a Focus platform share but the MPS’s always had their own engine. Insanely they put it in the CX7 which just looks dull but has this fizzy engine. Not a 5cyl Ford/Volvo lump
