I think the reason CR is so good is because junbin who was the biggest question mark on the team randomly decided to be arguably the best tank in the world. Also they have an actual hitscan player instead of falcons who force Proper to play it.

People may hate on him somewhat. But I honestly always thought he was a better coach than Crusty. He knows how to run a good team better. And seeing how much Junbin and Maxx, as well as Heesang improved under him compared to Crusty on the Shock? Yeah Moon is better.

From what I understand Moon is like a dad coach keeping the vibes positive, Gunba praised Kong specifically on Uncoachable so I’m guessing Kong is the brains of this operation. When it comes to Pavane who knows? He helps I guess.

Surprise, remove Heesang, Junbin, and Max from a poor environment (and sus coaching, Junbin Bap was wild), and they actually show up. Was not expecting them to be this dominant but it’s insane how hard people were on them last year.

I think it’s because of how hyped they were, everyone just expected them to dominate since they were so good in Korean contenders. Some people had shock in top 5 minimum for pre season power rankings and they didn’t even make Midseason or play offs.

@@TheESPER Shock were garbage in 2023 because Proper imposed his ego on the rest of the team and the staff perpetuated it. None of the other players had a chance. As soon as they got away from him, they all shone. Heesang went from struggling next to Proper to knocking him out of the playoffs on his new team.

@@shuttlecrossing1433 interesting that proper ended up on the same team as chiyo. both of them, based on what youre saying sound like they have an insane ego for both being a rookie in 2022 and already talking down on their teammates in 2023. but I doubt its fully ego and just the shock system treating proper as the golden child and crusty having bad coaching decisions, both at once, unless im missing some leaks about proper's ego here.

Man the meta has been so unfortunate for CR and they need to get a MAX replacement if they keep having Junbin play DVA, some JQ and Ram. They went from having Junbin dominate on ball to facing JQ Hanbin and Bernar on DVA, and a double flex DPS meta like it’s the exact scenario for them to fail.

one thing to point out tho, falcons did not dominate on dive on gib, sure it was competitive, but cr still had the better dive overall, the big reason they struggled a bit was cuz proper was clicking heads and handing falcons multiple free fight wins especially on 2nd point, but yea that mauga attack was big throw

Crazy how they went on to lose to Falcons yesterday lol. Maybe they aren't as op as we thought and Falcons were sandbagging a little. Most people were expecting CR v Falcons to be really 1 sided.

Falcons had hella internal issues. Both DPS being burnt out and Smurf lacking synergy and not being as good. The meta moved from Ball and Winston (junbin’s signature heroes) to fucking JQ and they got Hanbin. It’s GGs at that point just unlucky meta for CR.

For me Falcons are on immediate fraudwatch after losing to the Hangzhou boys AGAIN. Especially fielder-chiyo. They lost three fucking times while being the favorites in every occasion (Atlanta Reigns, Team Korea, Falcons)

I have a slight concern with Happy joining that while it would make sense to have a hitscan to free up Proper it might also be that they are worried about Proper trying to retire again. There was a post from Proper before EWC about wanting to retire after Dallas and deciding to play through EWC which didnt go too well and historically Proper doesnt take losing well and I think taking on Happy might be a failsafe since Happy can play hitscan and at least looking at the last season of OWL he could play Tracer in a double flex meta so Happy Stalker would be a good dps lineup on paper

My concern is if now proper is able to go back to his comfort hero pool, what will falcons do with stalker? I mean, they have 2 flex dps that are super capable and talented. How can you manage to give both playtime while not benching the other

@@OryNce proper's the golden child of crusty. hes not going anywhere. stalk3r is probably a permabench like sirmajed and only comes in for double flex DPS situations most likely, and will have 1 to 2 maps of forced playtime.

I think Stalk3r will only come in to play double flex DPS or Mei honestly, unless Proper is fantastic at Mei but I don’t recall him ever playing her.

it's possible a double flex dps meta could allow falcons to catch up with racoons, because lip can definetly play tracer if necessary but I don't think he keeps up with proper stalker in like a tracer echo dive meta

Possibly, Falcons double flex is when they looked the best. It’s just hard to say because Lip has an exceptional Tracer and HeeSang can hold his own against Proper/Stalker you could argue HeeSang is better depending on the hero.

Junbin = best overal tank Max = T2 OT LIP = best HS + GOAT Heesang = best performing FDPS Shu + best FS Chorong = best + most flexible MS Kang = best coach Moon = best dad coach We commonly think guys like Tr33 are so special because he was a star at age 15. Korea makes prodigies like that in mass and these O2 guys were the absolute pinnacle among them. All of them hyped to the stars when they were 15 in a vastly superior region at that.

Max is more like a T1.5 off tank. He's shown to outdo Hanbin multiple times and only need some experience to truly level up. He's also decently flexible

And this is not even a super team either. Ch0r0ng is considered by nobody to be a top main support, and junbin max and Heesang came off of a terrible year with the San Francisco shock. Just good sights by moon, bringing back his baby lip, pairing it with the best flex support shu (fielder fans hate me) and then surrounding it with promise

chorong is definitely a top main support almost if not on par with chiyo and is more flexible as he can actually flex onto flex supports if needed

Ch0r0ng literally just came off an OWL championship. The take on the 3 O2 /SF guys is fair but saying ch0r0ng isn’t a top main support is wild. Unless chiyo is the only top main support you consider to deserve that title.
