@gogogeedus4 жыл бұрын
@@DangerRick he put 2 planes on the ground with the same frequency receivers in each and he would take off and just flew them as though it was one plane, I never saw it myself and the guys that did this were elderly and have passed away, one of the fellows built and designed his model and his friend built an identical plane, they only preformed this stunt when there was no wind. the guy I used to fly with was the fellow that designed the plane, it is called the LA special and is a high wing trainer type design similar to a SIG kadet Senior, he told me about this stunt and and he told me about one occasion they were having a bit of trouble getting one of the planes running properly and by the time they got it started they went to place it besides the other one only to find it had flown away by itself and was just a little spec in the distance, but apparently they got it back OK

During knife edges why do you not keep the wing perpendicular? It looks upside down.
@MartinPickering-PickeringRC4 жыл бұрын
I do this when going particularly low. It means that if I get too low and touch (as was planned in the water shot) the impact will make the wing basically bounce back off the ground and you can keep flying. A touch at 90º knife edge makes a cartwheel and there is no more flying...

Sorry to be off subject. But, maybe you can answer a question. Why is Spectrum so popular? Its not a reliable system. I know its cheap. But, would you trust it? Because I won't. Seen to Any failures. Just like in the 70's.
@MartinPickering-PickeringRC4 жыл бұрын
Very delicate subject!! Personally it is not my preferred system either. I feel it works better in the USA with their higher transmitting power allowance, and most of their advertising and branding happens over there...

Smashing the rudder off and carrying on flying is bang out of order. Especially in front of a crowd. You dont know what other damage its done. You tried it at Ragley Hall and the plane broke up. You tried it at Eastnor Castle and carried on, you should have been grounded.
@MartinPickering-PickeringRC4 жыл бұрын
How exactly did I try and continue at Ragley Hall?!
@DanwRC834 жыл бұрын
Pushing too hard as usual. Hit the ground as usual, full aileron, full roll. You are, in my opinion, a dangerous pilot.
@MartinPickering-PickeringRC4 жыл бұрын
It does help to roll right way up before trying to land, or do you normally land at an inverted knife edge position?!
@DanwRC834 жыл бұрын
@@MartinPickering-PickeringRC er...you were inverted when you stopped rolling. 1 ¼ rolls. My view is you were hoping you got away with it and were trying to style it out lol. I dont usually watch videos of people telling the world how amazing they are, wish i hadnt clicked on it. But i did. My bad. Cheers
@MartinPickering-PickeringRC4 жыл бұрын
You should probably watch my Radley Hall video too, you can then count the rolls a bit more accurately... one thing is to style out a broken hinge which offered zero danger, another is to properly whack the floor, being amazed its still ok, and looking to land asap. And yeah, we all know why you clicked the video, because of the crash pic at the beginning so not sure what the complaints are about!
@lukeyoung40004 жыл бұрын
I have to agree some of this stuff is dangerous. While it is cool less expierenced people see this and think they can do this. It could get people hurt.
@MartinPickering-PickeringRC4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately there are no limits to human stupidity... Of course some of this stuff is dangerous if done wrong, however so is driving or crossing the road... Hopefully everyone applies common sense and takes it for what it is, fun =)
