So, yes, there are children starving in the continent of Africa, there are children starving in the US, and there’s children starving on every country on earth. Go donate to a charity.

Don't remember the movie. But that was just to make her an easy target to the women surrounding the guy. They made lots of plotholes (dubious reactions to irrational actions). Chinese-culture-influenced movies always treated the main protagonist as a victim. While the "prince/princess" have to be someone from a rich family who see the main character for their personality. It's always like that. Tells you how much they value getting married to a good person who are rich (with rich in bold and underlined). Their communities always talk about wealth and comparing each other families (and peers) on who's kid is more successful. A lot of plastics between them. Everyone is two-faced-snake. Unless you are meeting with a person of Chinese descendant who has let go of their tradition, you're pretty much meeting 90% of the characters in this movie. Also, compare products of Chinese entertainment and other Asian cultures. The Chinese's side characters are always petty and envious people. Always. Only tells you how common it is to find petty & envious people around you in that culture.

This is one of the best scenes in the movie And, I love how consistent the movie is. I would totally watch a sequel or a similar film

I love the book Crazy Rich Asians. There are three books in this series. I wish they would make another movie on the second book and possibly third book combined. It would be so interesting if Kevin Kwan would write a book on the Grand Grandmother's life. Seemed to be a very interesting lady.

I've never seen the movie. So, I spewed out the tea that I just sipped when these words were said. "Red is a lucky colour, right?" "Yeah. If you're an envelope."😂😂😂😂 My daughter looked at me. Looked at the screen, and with a big smile said "Mom, you're so Asian." She loves the red envelopes.
