Crazy ride 909 ft above the ground

This is one of the rides on top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. 909 ft above the ground hanging over the edge of the tower. CRAZY!!!

At 30,000 feet, because of the wind chill, the temperature automatically drops twice as much. So it's OK to wear a tank top and shorts on this ride. It is not as cold as you think, unless you're still scared to death and haven't eaten anything beforehand. I hope I changed your perception about this a little bit.

wen i went 2 las vegas i rode it and almost passed out. wen ur on it ur looking at the tower and the ground and it makes ur head spin and go crazy!!!! best ride there is the big shot. look it up its amzing!!!!

If you'll ever ride this (I rode this many times, don't worry): 1. You're not going to die; 2. The thing won't break down in mid-flight; 3. It goes MAX 12 mph. Now, if you'd skydive at 30,000 feet (like me): 1. You could die; 2. Your parachute could malfunction; 3: You'd go past terminal velocity of 200mph at temperatures of 35 degrees below zero. On Insanity, you're conscious the whole time. Skydiving @30,000 ft, you're conscious for only 30 seconds without oxygen. You can breath now.

The point is, it's supposed to be safe enough for parachutes not to be necessary. Also, no one would go on it if they were given parachutes. They would all expect to fall off!

do you realize the building you're sitting in, the furniture you sit and sleep on, the vehicles you ride in/on, the computer you type on are all man made? not to mention the food you eat was gathered and processed by man made things. every time you get in a car or an airplane you are taking a HUGE leap of faith in man made technology. roller coasters are actually quite safe relative speaking, very simple machinery and mechanics.

From experience: Although the other rides look scarier than this, maybe because this one just looks like a swing ride or the scambler or something simpler from your local carnival, the fact is, none of them compare at all to how scary this on is. You will wish to get off this ride the whole time you are on it. It is all most people can do to not puke. This is the scariest ride I have ever been on hands down. NO rollercoaster, not even the drop ride above compares! Most are quietly praying..

the first day this ride opened.... it got stuck above the ground for hours and when they got us off most had very bad vertigo.... i was one of those unlucky few they carted us down in wheelchairs.... but it was great because i got to fuck with people by saying things like..... "how long do you think the fall would be?" and " hey did you hear that?!?"

The motion is like that of a slow centrifuge spinning. If it was on the ground, the ride would not be a big deal, spinning so slowly. The psychological fear comes from being forced to stare down at the ground that's hundreds of feet away (which the rider would never reach). So, they should simply control their eyesight and objectively look at the ride through physics concepts.

ok 1st off.. this is way way more than 909 ft up... try like 1,909 ft up (probabl more than that).... cuz this is the stratoshpere in las vegas, nevada.. the rollercoaster is no longer there.. and ive been there.. so yeah... and the ride shes taping forces u to look down so think again.. its way more than 909 ft.. and 2nd, the drop on the very top is also way more then 909 ft up.. cuz its the very top
