You can tell millfield lost half their team last year . They are looking so much smaller this year . Clifton looking ok but money on Harrow being the best team this year with maybe Sedbergh and Trinity challenging

Clifton looked very good. They have really upped their game in recent years from being more or less equal to Sherborne, Marlborough, Cheltenham etc to competing with the best nationally. Whatever happened to Downside? They used to be the strongest team on that circuit in my day (a very long time ago I'll admit).

Have played against both Schools. Absolute shame we prioritised cricket over rugby. I hated cricket.

Idk if its happening anymore. problem with sanix is that the southern hemisphere lose all of their players before the tournament, so if a school that qualitifes isnt consistently really good they wont do well.

Well the team they are playing recruits a lot as well tbf . Their the ones that took players like Ioan llyod from Cardiff to Bristol

How was it cheating offering players opportunities by supplementing them financially to be able to come to a school with a incredible rugby program and coaching. Most schools offer this from donations of previous students who have gone on to be successful after school and want to give back, certainly Millfield do. Sounds like your against the idea of helping talented children access higher level rugby programs by offering their parents help financially from donations?

@@ieuandavies4920 it’s not cheating and for individual players it is deffo the right thing to do as it will improve you a lot but from a wider context in terms of rugby overall I’m not sure if it improves rugby In England all that much . Theirs a reason people didn’t like what colstons were doing 20 years ago when they imported like 9 players per year and won like 5 straight school titles . Of course you are going to back it because you are playing for them now as I did when I played for my School but in an overall sense too many imports isn’t good for the game although I wouldn’t call it cheating .
