CRAZY SHARK FISHING FROM THE BEACH!!!

Day 1 - Florida Trip:

if you don’t mind me asking, what are the specs on your spinning rod and reel?

My main surf were on I was using the black and red one is a “Penn Fierce 111 8000” you can look the specs up on them there’s a few different ones. I believe the gear ratio is 5.3:1 if I’m not mistaken I’m not near the reel at the moment. They make a lower gear ratio and a higher gear ratio for the same size reel I believe. I went for the mid range ratio. It Definitely depends on what you’re planning on using it for though. Paired with a 10’ Penn surf rod. Hope that helps. It’s been an absolute amazing set up! I’ve got lots of great fish with it! Definitely a great set up for anyone looking for a lower budget high quality surf rod and reel set up!
