I do not understand how your channel is not huge. You're a well-kept secret! Thanks for the videos

I made one sort of like this for my lathe, works better than I thought it would! Great video!

That’s true, you could mount this on a lathe or drill press!

In one of your videos, the drill press had auto feed. Did you add that feature, or did it come with it?

I like the way you do things. I hate watching people waste paint etc. by letting it run down the sides of the can, I also find it amusing watching some one Restoring a tool with tools that look like they just rescued them from the garbage can. Keep up the good videos and God Bless.

Thank you! Most of my hand tools are restored so I indeed use them to restore even more tools!

Pretty wild that the mdf was able to make your cutting tool spark like that when you were shaping the wheel

It suprised me too. I'm not sure exsactly what is causing that. Must be the glue but I'm not sure why. Definitely explains why it's not recommended you work mdf with just any blade

-4Carl, Always drill the largest hole first, then the smaller ones without re clamping. If you must loosen the clamps, the point recess left by the shallow drilled hole will be there to position the next smaller size. Bon Chance!

Yes! That can be a quick way to get mostly concentric holes but with a stable drill press and good clamping, the holes end up more acurate simply by not moving the stock. The drill press is also large, I can easy do less than 50% engagment holes in hardwoods with forster bits if the stock is held firmly which is fun!

I've used a polishing wheel for years to give the final to chisels.. never tried mdf

MDF works great because it’s more firm than a polishing wheel so it doesn’t role the edge over as much and you can form the edge on it a bit. It gives you a little more control over all
