I got a 1971 GT TORINO for $300, 302 motor, bought a brown Fairmont station wagon.( irony ) put a mustang chassis to hold 302, some massage but awesome sleeper, normal shifting 2 nd gear bark. Good times. Awesome seeing what my Fairmont could have been. 1992.

Not a drag racing expert by far, that's why I have questions I'm hoping someone can answer. First, though, it was great seeing a Gremlin out there kicking some @$$! 1. Why were vehicles being launched at different times? I thought if you were racing, you both left at the same time. 2. How does someone have a faster 1/4 mile time at a slower speed than the other vehicle? 3. Does anyone know what the red SUV was running in it (between 9 and 10 minutes in)? That thing was fast!

1. Sometimes they handicap the faster cars for a closer race. So they start at different times determined by the Tree 2. High Gearing Ratios: Higher acceleration from a stand still, but lower top speed at the end. They reach the limit of speed based on their gearing ratios. For example a standard A10 Camaro SS has a 4.70 1st gear, which means it probably won't go much over 30-40mph in that gear if you left it in that gear. While the M6 version has a 3.73 first gear. The M6 will be slower on launch, but have a higher top speed in first gear than the A10. Probably closer to 50-60 mph for the M6. 3. It was a turbo boosted chevy. If you watch his races again, you can hear him no-lag spool up the turbos before launching. If I had to guess twin turbo and anywhere in the range of 416 - 632 ci. That truck probably weighs about 6000-8000lbs. So to pull 8 sec 1/4's. Huge huge torque and hp numbers or gutted weight reduction. That truck probably has about 2000 hp or more.

An engine swap on a station-wagon does NOT classify a "sleeper" car. So what, I have seen some school busses that can run a quick quarter-mile. Note, if you see a parachute on a 73 Volvo station-wagon, you can bet easy money it is not a Volvo motor, or Caprice wagon, or Fairmont wagon, or Dodge mini-van, or whatever is in the lane, it is not a sleeper. I am tired of these kinds of videos, "sleeper cars" or the ever stupid "old man does massive lift", or "nerd women" that has a $150k plastic surgery lifts/tucks/fillers etc. This and reaction videos are the dumbest crap on KZbin and TicTok!

Called turboprop shaf The turbo acts like a suction and it makes added power to the areo plane engine or transport engine to make it faster powerful One a supercharger other Turbocharger or turbine driven etc The more you ad increase power with lag etc 5liter can make similar power to 8liter bhp It down to the turbine or Turbocharger or supercharger
