I think of couple of things. 1. - you may need to scrape the snow from hood and top as it's usually hazardous to others when you are on road. Many places it's illegal. 2. This seems dry snow may be due to it's snowing or the area is very remote. Usually the snow will get wet due to other vehicles and road usage then it becomes dangerous.
