Crazy Taxi 2 - DreamCast Emulator

In this Video you can see an emulated SEGA DreamCast Console on a "0-8-15" Windows-Computer:
AMD Athlon 64 3500+
1024MB DDR400 RAM
ATi Radeon X850XT PE
The Video is in some parts a little bit slow ...this is a Consequence of capturing the Game at 60 Frames per second with FRAPS.

At the time I recorded this video there was no NullDC. I had to go along with an old Chankast-build. I made a few tries with NullDC and it's alot better than Chankast!

i still feel dreamcast was one of the best consoles. Too bad we wont see another one b/c sega on developes video games for other systems :-(

this game looks awesome. my friend has had a dreamcast for ages that we play all the time, but he doesn't have this game... now i gotta get chankast and find the ISO.

85Hz @ 2048x1536 is not bad ;) ... If I sync the Monitor with the Cam (60Hz/30Fps) then there's no flickering at all.

An emulator is a program that you download off the internet. It lets you play Rom files. Like if you download a rom off the internet but you dont have a emulator it wont work.

I wish they would make a dreamcast emulator that could work at least at 80% speed instead of 50% & below.... It kinda ruins the ferociousity of a game liked this

the problem is not the emulator...far from it. It works fine for most games as long as you have at least a dual core processor a 2 gigs of RAM. A good graphic card helps but not in the speed though. Important too is to use the original Dreamcast BIOS.

or you could just buy a dreamcast and the real game, or if you dont want to pay for the game ? just buy some CDR`s and DL the ISO`s , very easy and you can play Deamcast games and have your PC freed up as well,. Just my opinion,
