this was a great one on a back window. You make it look way easier than what it actually is! Because you have to crawl in the back and all the while keeping the tint from brushing up against any fabric or anywhere it could pick up trash, and the last move to getting it started on the bottom of the window has to be just as difficult. I think If I were having to do that move, I would put some of that carpet protector down you use on the doors to make sure if I did let it sag too much it would touch the plastic and not something that, more than likely, has dust and dirt on it. You make it look way easier than it is.

It actually creates more problems than it does help, because the film and the protection sheet are wet, if they touch they stick together due to surface tension, so you can imagine the issues of the sheet getting pulled around, and trying to separate them all while still Frankensteining the film. Believe me from 28yrs exp, it's the last thing you need to create issues, the car gods have enough fun as it driving us nuts with things that happen for no reason, I don't give them more ammunition, 😂😂

Great how to video. I have an 2013 A6 and the rear side windows were really difficult compared to a Ford fusion I have. Could you show how you did the side windows on this A4?

I noticed what you are talking about when you dry shrink and use the felt card to brush it down. the fingers, as you call them, going up and down, when they are shrunk to fit, turn sideways and then you can brush them down with the felt card and not worry about kinking the film. Yep, I came back and watched it again because some guy that claims to have been doing it for 28 years commented on my comment. I'm still not sure what he was talking about but said some about the tint gods, blah blah blah, but anyhow, I thought I would ignore him and watch the video again, and I still don't see what he is talking about. Because I thought you done an awesome job, not only of cutting and shrinking it but also explaining it, and, in my opinion, you done the hardest part with great skill and that is maneuvering it inside and applying it to the back window. I'm 6'1" and around 260 or 270; I'm not sure since I haven't weighed in a couple of years and I've lost weight, so who knows, but I am a big guy, and just getting it in there would be a great feat for me hahaha. Anyway, I think this was skillfully executed and narrated as well! Thanks for posting it!

does it matter what brand of dryer sheet you use? I don't even use them in my laundry anymore. I use liquid Downey anymore since a woman at a laundry matt got me started using it. The funny thing is in the videos I've heard you talk about doing that to the front and back windows to shrink the film, I never once thought of an actual dryer sheet in the terms of a fabric softener sheet lol. Also, thanks for the tip on the Luxe for headlight and tail light tint film. I found some on Amazon for about 34 dollars for a kit that is 20" X 1 yard. I just got through going through the process of sanding and polishing my headlights and was not sure if I wanted to use the Eastwood 2K clear coat or just tint them. The Luxe film really looks great. It actually stretches over the lens, and I can get it in light, which is what I wanted, or med and all the way to dark, but I don't want to block out the light from my headlights and tail lights. Thanks for the tip and that. I think I'm going to buy some Auto Zone film soon and practice tinting the door windows. I think I can do it now after watching you and listening to your tips. I know I joked around on live stream about needing 3 or 4 hundred feet lol but, I actually think I can do it. I'll probably use a 1 gallon herbicide sprayer from the box store to put the water and soap in; I'll go to Wal-Mart and get some baby shampoo, and I have a big jug of Dawn under the kitchen sink. I'll just make sure I clean the window real good following your practice I see you doing, and I'll just try and use my blow dryer to snap shrink the bottom of the tint. It may take a little more time with it, but I'll try and make it work. I'll remember to look for that draping of the tint when I'm snap shrinking. I can remember how yours looked all the times I've watched you do yours, so I'll try to keep that in mind while I'm doing it. Thanks for all the tips on Tinting and also for the tip on the Luxe tint for headlight tint film. That stuff looks really good. It's almost like wrapping a car the way it goes on. My headlights are pretty flat, so it shouldn't be a big deal. They are pretty big but flat, so I shouldn't have to worry about shrink for curves. Thanks for sharing the tinting videos. I hope your Plotter isn't still giving you problems with getting off track. probably see you on your next live stream, Matt. Thanks again!

This light pulls right out. Don’t be afraid. Just pull straight down the glass. Once it’s off sometimes the metal clips will pull kind of out of the light. Use a small tool to push them down and roll them back into the channel where the clip is.

I’ve been meaning to show a comparison. Geo is definitely faster. I can still shrink lexen but I have to use much more heat/ be more aggressive and that’s what I think really throws people off in the beginning

It's a art. Gave it two trys to shrink on a hatch that wasn't even that curved. Between tint quality and the art involved, it just wasn't happening for me. I've had guys in the big city tint many of my cars back window. Different guys all the time and they are truly masters and quick.
