What I really would like to know is whether the tourists are unaware of the rudeness of their actions, or if they just don't care. You see similar behavior in the Buckingham palace, in London, where people disrespect the royal guards, or in certain cities in Italy and Spain, in which the tourists act as if they were in a theme park. In these hanamachi videos, It's like they are in a safari. Specially in Gion. The geiko and maiko must have a very poor impression of foreigners. I live in a simple place here in Brazil, and as such there are very few tourists here. I consider that a blessing. Cheers!

I agree! I should have uploaded a video of the Buckingham Palace guards for comparison! I think tourists treat the guards like toy soldiers. Are you really doing this because you don't know about it or are you doing it because the other person is Japanese? I also sometimes get hot when I'm on a train and there aren't any tourists on it. I want to spend my days calmly in my own country.

To be fair, how many tourists show up to our Cathedrals and treat them like museums? That's my religion and its sacred places -- it's not Disneyland. However, should we point the finger at Asian photo-snappers, or our own weak the authorities who allow our sacred places to become theme parks? Similar problems in different countries.

Thank you for your comment. It's a problem that's happening everywhere... In Asia, it's best not to point your camera at people as much as possible. In particular, maikos are on their way to work in the traditional performing arts. People often forget that cathedrals are also historical religious facilities... Something like this has finally happened in Japan, and the Japanese people are full of anger. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpq4nYqma7R0fLc
It's hard to understand what he meant, but in terms of religion, Japan itself is a religious nation centered on Shinto, which originated in mythology. The history of His Majesty the Emperor is also the oldest in the world. First of all, I hope that you will be a gentleman who will make us feel comfortable and happy when we come to Japan. I rarely meet gentlemanly travelers these days...
