Hi there. Im thinking about upgrade the subframe to this one in the video. Did u notice many NVH due thr new dogbone in the subframe? Thank you!!
@RegalAutosport3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment, on DSG cars you can get a bit of NVH in 'eco' mode when the revs are low. When in 'Sport' and the revs are higher, it is much less. This is only at idle though, in all other driving situations the NVH difference we found to be negligible

If you agreed to share the geometry values, that would be very cool! Good continuation
@RegalAutosport4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment and compliments :) The values in the video are not final, we dialled it back a little. On these cars they have a lot of grip at the rear so you don't want to run too much camber otherwise the balance is awful. We do not share out geo/alignment information as this is developed in-house and part of our upgrade packages.

It looks like the original subframe was made of aluminium, is that correct? If so that's odd as my 2019 TCR is steel. The Clubsport S was the only Mk7 to use aluminium subframe although this was no great shakes as every A3 had one.
@RegalAutosport4 жыл бұрын
It certainly looks like the aluminium one. We wouldn't waste the time with changing to the factory aluminium over steel. The weight savings, despite what a lot of people say aren't THAT tangible vs. the cost involved. Save your money, get the Verkline one which is 3.5kgs lighter than the OE aluminium or 7KG lighter than the OE steel one PLUS it's substantially more rigid, better geometry and already has an engine mount bush.

We didn't experience this with the 034 Motorsport + BILSTEIN combo. It might be to do with the install or combination of parts used. It's impossible to diagnose remotely though, but the best first step is to check part compatibility and go over the installation again.

As with everything, it’s a balance. If the customer wants to keep NVH really low then it’d not be good of us to advice to install the arms.
