Jack get out of my head. I literally just bought this pedal from Truetone and took it out of the box yesterday. I've owned a Magnatone Panaramic Stereo and this is the only vibrato pedal that comes close to the actual Magnatone sound. Killer indeed!

Nice, Jack! I already own the Memphis vibrato from this company, which is just the Magnatone vibrato effect from this Killer V without the overdrive or EQ. It's fantastic. I bought it for a project thinking I'd use it just for that then sell it, boy was I wrong. I didn't realize how much I'd end up loving that Magnatone vibrato effect. On some days it's an always-on pedal.

Great demo Jack. You really connect well with the Firebird (I would say), rich tones, I want one now.

This was one of my fave pedals of last year! I liked it so much that I actually bought two of them hahaha... One on my big board and one on my Blues board. It also allowed me to sell the Drybell Vibe Machine. Don't get me wrong, the Drybell is just, but I LOVE the sound of the Killer V. Such a great pedal... Great video as always Jack!

Wow, what a great sounding pedal. I could have listened to you demo this with every guitar you own.

Awesome! Yeah I really like this pedal. Perfect tone shaping/edge of grit tone. I'm excited to get it integrated with other pedals on a board.

Also, unrelated: If I love the Keeley Memphis Sun and JHS Milkman (great live pedals, great slapback and tone thickeners), what other pedals would you recommend that may surpass these? Don't mind if its pricier, just wanna find out what you think is in the same realm but possibly better

Have you ever tried more of a modulation based slapback? Like the Keeley 30ms or the Strymon Deco
@SS-gx7tg2 жыл бұрын
@@JackFossett I own the Deco as well as the Keeley Abbey Chamber Verb which apparently was discontinued to make the 30ms but Robert ported over the reverb aspect to the 30ms. Believe it or not I actually prefer both the milkman and Memphis sun to the Deco. I still really like the Deco for some of the tricks it can do that the others can't, but for a pure slapback style sound I can't find anything better than the Memphis Sun. I just love hunting for new pedals in that style which is why I keep looking in the first place lol

Great video, Im very interested in this pedal, I like pedals, that just gives some different color to your amp, without sounding too "pedal like". Like giving different shade of what you have. This seems to be pretty much it. And the vibrato is super nice bonus. Id like to know, how does it stacks with other drives/fuzzes/boost. If it adds up like amp should and not go to fart town, like some pedal do, when hitted by heavy boost or fuzz.

I thought the modulation side was a harmonic tremolo until you switched it to wet. I’m very much with you on the artwork! I’d hang that on my wall in the living room😂

So according to the literature, the Dry/Wet sound that comes out like you’re talking about (more harmonic/phaser-ish) came from a stereo setting on the old amps. But you’re right on, it’s very much that type of sound.

I'm digg'in that sound although I think the amp gets a little credit.

Don’t mean to be negative, you can play. Close your mouth during a video. I came to learn about the pedal. I could care less if you can play.
