As a former photographer in the Navy, I can attest to the fact that you can get so wrapped up in the view-through-the-lens, that your point-of-view can make you forget that you're IN THE WAY, because of your concentration on the shot. You get "Target Lock".

@@TShirtGuy well, no not exactly. Deer freeze from fear. The thing I mean is that, as a photographer, one becomes a point of consciousness behind the lens. You forget you have a body, kinda, and the whole universe doesn't exist outside of the framing of the shot in the viewfinder. Not unlike the "tunnel vision" of a combat infantryman under fire, becoming a tight cone of 15 degrees of angle, either side of the rifle's front sight.

Such an amazing video. At first you think it's a slow motion film with the avalanche being close but actually it's quite a ways away coming at breakneck speed down an enormous mountain slope. Kudos to the cameraman for sticking it out to the very last second. He captured an extremely unique and spectacular video.
