A GOOD WAY TO TAKE DOWN IF THE EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE, WOULD BE TO GET A LARGE PORTABLE WATER PUMP UNIT AND RUN A LARGE HOSE TO THE TOP AND WASH AWAY THE SAND, CAUSING ROCKS TO COLLAPSE!

Why don't you guys try using a cable about a inch thick and loop it around that sand tower and use the cable to cut the sand tower down, pulling the cable back and forth would work much better than the method your using now

They didn't decide to knock it over for fun. As you can see in the image, the ground was slowly collapsing and there was a risk of that rock collapsing inadvertently which could be dangerous. So it was decided they would do it in a controlled fashion. The way they went about doing it with that LOONY man poking the bottom there I don't condone, but who am I to question the actions of a crazy man.
