The distribution block was so pimp my ride level idea 😂 Hey quick kenwood question for you boys! I just got into the world of kenwood/jvc and I can’t find a instruction manual with this thing anywhere that’s at all useful. I’m using the single din excelon kdc-705. So when I’m in the sound settings under speaker size for the tweeter, small med, large, would a 1inch tweeter be considered as the small end of the tweeter sizing spectrum or large ? And the reason i ask is each size effects the x-over tweeter frequency preset? And to my understanding this xover is obviously a high pass filter crossover point on the tweeters yes ? And I’m considering converting the dash from a single din to a double din so I can get an optical out to go directly into my steg dsp amp. Have you guys tried those Chinese radios with optical ports ? Any insider tips on upcoming soon to be released kenwood with optical ?

Alpine is absolute garbage, and I appreciate a good cheap speaker....but Alpine never works out. Fosgate P2 12s blow 12" type R out of the water with better sound AND quality, for almost half the price if I recall...I was done with Alpine after my components and two 12's couldnt hang and all blew out eventually.

People buy cheap components especially when they have to have them installed at shops like yours that always jack the prices up so high with the mark ups....oh wait, thats right...intallation is FREE!.........AFTER the giant markup!!!...I know, everybody has to make a living, but Morel for instance has OUTRAGEOUS PRICES! $1,000 for components is insulting. I could afford some, but I wont because they are so obviously price gouging. There is lots of inexpensive audio equipment. IMO, to get the best sound out of your car stereo, always amplify every speaker and overpower them as well. I never leave home without taking a DSP and an extra battery....no need for tiny tube capacitors or little kinetic batterys, theres another rip off! Two matching brand new batterys is a better investment. See, its not just the hack installers that bring shame to your industry...its the crackhead manufacturers that produce real junk and also lie about amp ratings. PS: Alpine speakers and decks are junk. They still riding off the coat tails of others that did great work for for Alpine in the 70s and 80s!
