Been there once (90's) and dying to visit again. At that time it was also a vacation target for Greek's. Leider sind Thassos Strände mittlerweile von Anfang bis Ende mit Sonnenschirmen und Liegen zugepflastert. Die Atmosphäre der tollen Strände damit komplett dahin, ganz zu schweigen von der lästigen Musikberieselung. War mal schön, leider nicht mehr.

We can't comment on the hotels, but the best beach area for children is Golden Beach

At Pefkari, the water is cleaner and you can also go snorkeling. If I had small children, maybe I would prefer Golden Beach

Agreed. I think it's at the southern end of the golden beach. Clear, shallow waters and a huge bay, nice sand and the spectacular backdrop of 1300 metre cliffs to the rear. You can see some of the cliffs at 05:06. Very quiet too when I was there in the early 90s. Probably the best beach I've ever been to.

Nice Iceland but to much Tourist from Balkan in Summer. They are very loud and disruptive and behave badly
