I don't think this would be too difficult to solve, but it'd definitely be fun to play with. The C4Y 3x3x6 is very similar in the way it's solved.

This is legitimately one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I've seen quite a few puzzles of all types, classes and families, But I've never seen one that works in this manner. I think it would be a brilliant puzzle to solve, albeit it'd be time consuming, because you would have to solve it as a 2x2 to work the 4x4 part out, then go through 8x8. My mind is officially blown. This makes me want to get in to modding to make my own or see what else you could do with this.

You should consider making another one of these, but instead of the large 1x1 blocks, make them also 2x2 blocks like the other corners. It would be a bit easier to solve and would be less work to make as well.

I would say that it wouldn't be as fun to make it easier, but if I were to get this puzzle he made or make one myself, I literally would not be able to solve it, especially at the state I am right now, which is I can solve up to a 5x5 (ish)

Hello CBC. I just finished solving this puzzle and I want to thank you for inspiring me to make one . Of course it is not like yours ( I just glue pieces and put stickers on without filling and sanding), but it is yet very good looking. Solving is realy chalenging but in the same time great pleasure. Thanks.

Jeremy Keaton I see what you mean but I feel that design might result in uneven cuts that won't allow good a good portion of the puzzle to scramble. It might work but I'm just not seeing it.

I learned after tiling a megaminx last night that if you have sticky fingers from glue you can simply sand it off of your fingers without damaging them. Maybe it'll work for your epoxy sculpt too
@DamnedEyez10 жыл бұрын
You should be able to match the two 4x4 corners and the 2x2 corners right away, which should make scrambling a lot easier. I might have to make a shoddy version of this someday to try it out.

Great puzzle. Looks like another addition to the "chimera" family.
@TheUnnamedGent10 жыл бұрын
Did you consider putting the big cubies diagonally opposite across from each other so the puzzle would only be tunable as 2x2 when solved? That would have been more like a pure extension of the AI cube. The quality of your seam covering/joining is amazing. Did you paint the joined cubies with spray paint? How did you get it polished like that? I have watched your video where I think you used (boat repair?) epoxy and fibreglass dye to do that type of thing. I still have no idea how you made the glued cubies so perfectly. I recently made an AI cube out of a shengshou 4x4x4, and I'm satisfied with it, but it pales in comparison to what you've achieved here.

You did a very nice job on this puzzle. It looks really cool scrambled. You could solve this with an AI reduction strategy. Its a good strategy to know. It can be used on lots of seemingly unrelated puzzles. I use it on certain cuboids and camouflage cubes as well as AI puzzles like TomZ's Chimera. For those who stated interest in seeing how SuperAntoniovivaldi would solve a puzzle like this there's good news. I checked his channel. Look for 4x4x4 AI bandaged cube.
