To my view the one mistake is that the bar is not friendly to meet with your chest or your face or forehead. In a crash situation I try to land on my front with bar pushed away elbows out and board already ejected off my feet, had some hard landings in shallow water and strong contact with the bar and its components. The QR has some sharp looking edges and the bar ends look very hard and sharp edges ... my .02

Thanks for your opinion Gary. However, this aspect was considered and included in the design process. While some objects like the bar end may seem sharp and dangerous, in reality, all solid parts of the bar ends are covered with a soft EVA floater material. Even the sharp part of the bar end is the EVA floater material itself. Falling on the QR is a different story as this part is from solid materials only as on all bars. The surfaces of the QR are mostly flat and all edges have a radius. However, we opted for more grip when releasing (adding to safety) which added the ring on top of the red QR part. Again, even this ring has rounded surfaces and radiuses on all edges. So, from our point of view, the bar ends are safe to crash with because they are covered in soft EVA and falling on the QR would probably hurt as much as falling on any other QR out there. Maybe a few percent more, but it gives more grip when releasing compared to other QRs. Check the bar out in your hands if you get a chance.

Is that a high Y split now?

The Y split is 6m from the bar.

So yes, that would a high Y. Just so you know.

@@sergemann5951 We know it is a high Y, but prefered to specify the height exactly, as some brands had Y splits even higher.
