When I was little, a LONG time ago, my neighbor across the street had a huge friendly dog named Elmer. Mr. Murphy would let us kids ride Elmer and that figurine reminded me of that.

I love the new elegant cabinet. The glass is gorgeous but I think it elevates the aesthetics of the glass to be in an elegant cabinet as opposed to being in older cabinets.

I hadn't thought of my mom who loved to collect depression glass back in the 80s before she died. She and I could have had a lot of fun thrifting. I do think of my daughter when I watch and how sad it is that she lives across the country. She has a good eye and I'd be happy to do the research, selling and shipping if we could work together.

The Headda Get Betta doll is from the early 60s. You turn the nob on top of the doll's hat and the face rotates to a different face. There are 3 faces.. I had one when I was little.

I will need to let you know one of my tricks for a button down rough places on glass the four sided nail buffer of things that they use for acrylic nails. Those are wonderful for smoothing the edges out on glassware. Love your channel. Thank you for sharing.❤❤❤❤

Just love ❤ watching your videos with u and your family. I have always had an eye for older things since I was little. I can always spot something of value. I had twins at 40 and when they were 7/8 we use to go scavenger hunting. I would give them a few bucks to spend and we would have a blast going around to resale, thrift and garage sales. I have found them some cool clothes at Goodwill. Shirts, shorts and even shoes. I have a ton if stuff to sell, but I work so it is a slow process. Wish I wasn't shy on camera.

The cup and saucer at 6:24, with its gold background and hand painted reserves (the areas painted with scenes of people in a landscape), looks similiar to early to mid 19th century porcelain made by the Imperial Porcelain Company in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The company, which was patronized by the Imperial Family, was renowned for the quality of Its ceramics. The deep saucer, called a trembleuse, kept the cup securely in place for invalids and the elderly. Other possibilties are 19th century Sevres or Vieux Paris Porcelain from mid-19th century France. The lack of a mark is not concerning for an old piece. Instead, concentrate on the quality of the modeling and finess of the painted scenes. Of course, it was a quick look, so just a guess about the maker.
