The brown drip soup bowl/planter was marked BRUSH that’s early McCoy. It was Brush McCoy in the beginning.
@OriginalNetheadАй бұрын
McCoy bought the Brush pottery if memory serves. I don't think both names ever appeared on the same piece. Then again Brush pieces often aren't marked at all.

That plate at 9:55 was from 1898 Knights Templar Wildlife Series made for the Pittsburg Commandery 27th Triennial. The year 1898 is hidden in the design right above the word seventh. The back says Knowles Taylor Knowles East Liverpool Ohio, U.S.A. There were seven different plates. This one has kiwis on it. Knowles Taylor Knowles produced pottery, yellow ware, ironstone, semi vitreous dinnerware and translucent Lotus Ware. They operated from 1854 to 1931. Individual plates like this one are listed online for around $25 to $40. A set of 5 was $139. I could not find any solds. But there is some value there.

Those Chinese shelf sitters with the chicken and bunny I think are very collectible. And worth good dollars. The animals represent the year. Such as year of the rabbit and year of the rooster etc. loved the bulls are they heavy enough for book ends? I just loved the duck feet stand. I would have used it for a plant stand in a heart beat. You dug up some treasures and had to work for it. It reminds me of your beginning days were you were always digging. That was fun thanks for the trip

White kitten 0:53 As a child, I had a similar one (Hobbyist, same mold, different paint on eyes & nose) in the 1960s, which I treasured. In the 80s, I think my young SON may have broken it and hidden the evidence - it disappeared! So ,for many years, I searched eBay, trying to find a replacement. In the 2000s, I finally did. Not exactly the same, but close enough! ❤

I have bought and sold antiques for over 45 years and it just amazes me that these bloggers today look for glass and porcelain pieces that are not scuffed up or has chips. Then when they decide on "perfect" pieces, they throw them into their shopping carts and continue piling up glass and porcelain on top of other glass and porcelain pieces. Jeez, I wonder how glass and porcelain pieces get scratches and chips????
