The McCoy pitcher is a "washing set" with the water being in the pitcher, people would pour a small amount in the bowl, which is missing. They would wash up, toss out the dirty water, and again set the pitcher in the bowl.

Just a idea, when you find the pieces that don’t have the other piece you could Google image search the piece you have to see what the other half looks! Chemex handblown version is worth more than the classic/machine made. Classic has a seam you can see near the bump under the spout and is printed chemex on the bottom. Lots of collectors of the vintage ones. Lots of nuance I learned by recently finding one. Cheers!
