The plate at the beginning with the hole was probably the top tier of a tidbit tray. It looked like the other tiers were there under it.

If I want to open a baggie or package I take it to the checkout and open it in front of them. That way I can see if things are broken and I'm not putting myself at risk of being blamed for something.

That they got for free. Feel free to check the contents, don’t ever feel guilty about looking inside. The stuff came to Goodwill FREE and USED! FREE DONATION! Up to them to certify if the product is free from defect or blemishes. We’re still customer and customer is king.

The stack of Autumn's Delight plates with the holes in them would belong to a tidbit tray. There would be a metal pole that would go through the holes and the plates would stack largest to smallest.

I resisted Christmas villages for a long time until I "discovered" Alpine Village. I have 6 of them and love them ... they remind me of Christmas in Germany, which will always be magical to me. Glad you picked up the castle! I'm coveting it and wish I could find Dept 56 in my Goodwill. It's weird, they've changed about a third of the store over to new garbage in the last few months. New furniture, toiletries, etc. Yuck.

I don't shop at Goodwill anymore. They went sky high on their prices in my area and I just stopped a few years ago and don't miss them abit. I go to thrift stores and have more fun with better prices.

@9:10 Looks like a muffin dish, the victorians had dishes for everything. Probably priced at full retail, they don't fetch a lot unless it is from one of the more expensive pottery companies, Herend, Shelley, etc

At my goodwill people use it as a daycare and park their kids in the toy section where they proceed to open up the new in box packaged toys. There was some matchbox vintage cars that they opened along with other items. Its amazing what people will do and the employees are so nice there that they just let it happen. Pretty sad

The vegetable dish is a pancake dish and should have a flat piece in the middle with a hole in it like the old soap dishes. The whole in the top is for the steam to escape and keep the pancakes from sweating.
