As a former florist, I can indeed confirm that Fenton designed vases for Teleflora. They DESIGNED them, but we're made in China. They are not MADE by Fenton.

I especially loved your cart today! All the hand crafted goods had artisan touches, even the clown. I think the lady with the bucket is from Russia. I had a similarly crafted piece, from the 60s-70s. As an artist, I appreciate you going to an artist first hand to buy their wares. It's specifically because their pieces AREN'T mass produced, that a single person has to pay for all the supplies and equipment in addition to doing all the work that the price is high, not to mention that every piece is done by hand, and is unique, even if it's a set. So cool! How were you able to tell that the Fenton dupe was actually Teleflora? You were able to tell before you saw the sticker!! I collect Fenton and would love to know what I should look out for! You have an amazing gift! Someone like me who just loves to find and collect authentic Fenton pieces would appreciate any education to not fall for something not authentic..

She has so much knowledge through years of experience, trial and error, etc, but there has to be something that catches the eye that is obvious to her but not to individuals that are not as seasoned, for example if there is a “dupe” and an original side by side what is different that she notices? Is it a seam, the way it’s painted, the texture? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have no clue, that is the reason I asked her the question!

It’s not about a physical characteristic, it’s just you learn what is mass produced. It’s not about comparing it to “real Fenton” it’s about recognizing that it’s a Teleflora design.

@@KerriBemusI’m going to try one more time because I’m stubborn like that. 😊 This vase is not a “dupe”. She didn’t say that. Because it is a similar style to Fenton many people assume it’s made by Fenton. But that one is clearly “made in China”. (Maybe it was designed by Fenton like a lot of comments state but clearly the Teleflora one is not made by Fenton). If you do a google search there are many of these exact vases for sale for less than $20 because they were mass produced in China for Teleflora. There is not a Fenton made vase that looks like that so there is no one to one comparison of a similar Fenton made piece. So when you see that white vase with the ruffled edge and that particular flower motif, it’s Teleflora.

Watching other resellers in gw, ive noticed in the clear isle, theres usually some, not canning jars, but other pretty glass containers with lids, like, a lone small canister, apothecary jars w lids.
