Friends of mine said the best advice they ever got when they had a baby was to hold it as much as possible for at least the first six months. It gives them a sense of security and makes them confident in exploring, because they know - viscerally - that they have some place to come back to. It sets them up for a confident sense of self and safety in the world. That's what you two are giving Laurel, and it's marvelous to see such a happy baby. Also, the buying was maybe a little thin for a Sold video, but I'd love to know what that green/purple vase goes for.

My technique for finding hidden cracks in glas and porcelain is to click my fingernail against it and hear if it makes a clear sound. You can hear the difference wether it makes a "pling" or more of a "plom" sound. The item must stand on it's base, maybe a surface or the palm of your hand, don't hold it around the body. Works with plates as well, if you put them on top of all your fingers and click against it. Love your content. And I love that the figurines say "I'm German" to you, since I am as well and laughed out loud when you explained that!!! :o) I'm reselling, too, and often think that my finds on fleamarkets and in thiftstores would be something you'd like - but unfortunately often are not valued here (well, no one is a prophet in their own land)

The castbiron african safari goes on a childs wooden bench. I bought a old rickety one for $5.00 for my grand, took it apart, redid the wood & painted the safari for her. Even now, shes too big for it but insists on sitting on it in the backyard because gramma made it for her. I had a visitor offer me $125.00 for it for her grands & i had to turn her down. My girl loves it too much!

At minute 8:31, the two stacked pots on the right look like they could be (?) All Clad brand, which is very expensive in stores. The sticking point for you could be the weight for shipping, but All Clad is one of the top of the line cookwares, made in USA with pricey retail costs. Jeannette, founded in Jeanette PA, is the company that bought many discontinued molds from better companies. They changed them just enough to get past a direct copy. I still like Jeanette because it is inexpensive and you don't get upset if they get broken. Flemish and Belgian are basically the same thing. They are different parts of Belgium with two different dialects. Flemish has a French influence, while Belgian is more Germanic. I am half Belgian, pot fur decker, meaning that I am somewhat hardheaded.

You’ve got that wrong? Flanders where they speak Flemish is the northern part of Belgium, it’s more akin to Dutch than German. Southern Belgium Wallonia is french speaking.

There is no true separate Belgian language. Flanders is the northern part of Belgium. The official language there is a dialect of Dutch (Flemish). Dutch is a west germanic language, along with English, German and Yiddish. Southern Belgium is mainly French speaking. French is a romance language. Many Belgians speak both French and Dutch. There are some parts of Belgium along the German border where the predominant language is actually German.
