I'm a Brazilian 17 year old and I've decided to study International Relations in the US for fall 2025. I'm aware that the process is not going to be easy, since I'm not familiar with the American system and do not have the money to afford an elite level uni, which is what I desire and feel like I stand a chance. I've been working for months to achieve this, but I have so many questions and it's so hard to find out everything on your own. I won't say it's a complete disadvantage if you excel in your own school grades first. But in honesty, yes I do think AP makes a difference for top college admits

Hi, what happens if you apply for a need-aware college for ED, then you get accepted but they don't give you the amount of scholarship that you need. So, you can't afford it, in this case, could you withdraw or you need to ask for loan? Thanks❤😊

this is the case with many international students. Now this may not be the answer you want but it is the opportunity you explain them the process. Explain them the relevance of filling out the counselor portal and LORs

FAFSA is for US citizens only, you will submit your application next year as you will apply for Fall 2026

Non-US residents have to Submit the CSS profile instead of FAFSA, which is a federal financial application for US residents only. Hope this helps 🤍

If youre in 11th grade now, you can aim for submitting your early action Application this year ( 2024 sep-nov), if you submit on 2025 November you will enroll in fall of 2026. Basically the year you want to enroll in University, you have to submit your applications around 8-10 months beforehand. Good luck on your application.

if you plan on applying for early action, it needs to be start of november. Otherwise you can apply for regular decision which isn't too bad there are chances you won't be considered for some of the merit scholarships

Hey di i am currently preparing for my jee exam and in 11th exam and we have to apply one year before the college freshamn year and i dont have enough time to prepare for the standardised test and i am not a sports person and not very much invovled in extracurriculars except arts or volunteering because of my physical limitations.. but i do have a good acedemic profile since my 6th grade ( around 91-96% ) and have been an olympiad topper in many subject including stem,computer science, english, science reasoning since i was in 2nd grade and 2 times state topper too.. do i still have a chance to get into colleges like princeton ..
