Woohoo on 20 K subscribers! Doodlebug releases are just too much to resist. I got several items including dies. No-one has the stamp sets, but I am going to be notified when they come in. My dad taught me to crochet when I was pretty young. Of course the easiest things to make are granny squares and blankets. I am going to start back there because it has been a while. Count your crochets & try to keep them the same (not too tight & not to loose) My grandmother did a ton of crocheting and I have 2 blankets for my queen bed, that I will always treasure.

Peruvian lily is also called Alstroemeria in case you ever want to google pictures of the real flowers. They last a couple weeks in a vase and are one of my favorites. We can grow them in Southern California, don’t know about where you are. Love your new stash. The doodlebug is sooo cute!

Cute haul….love the doodlebug! I have crocheted for years…….love it….very relaxing to do…..something you can do while watching TV….I learned from my grandma…… but do refer to You Tube when there is a stitch I forget……once you learn projects are pretty easy to complete and can be done fairly quickly! I would recommend to try it! A couple balls a yarn and a pattern( most you can find free now) won’t break the bank!

I’ve crocheted since I was young. The best advice I could give is pay attention to your “stitches”. You need to count and I’ve used a ruler to make sure they are even on each row. It’s easy to make them tighter or loser as you go along that will make the blanket or what ever your making out of shape. I can’t tell you how many baby blankets I’ve made lol.

I can crochet but I remember it did take perseverance to learn- I find knitting much easier and make slippers. The days when I knitted or crocheted all my kids jumpers etc are far behind me but you don’t forget So perseverance and practice are my tips!! Cheers

Congrats on 20K! I used to crochet years ago, mostly snowflakes and scarves. Yarn is easier than crochet thread when first learning. Use Ziploc or mesh bags for separate projects to keep supplies together. Use stitch holders, safety pins, or paper clips to place in your last stitch (for the day) to prevent unravelling, and use them when starting a new row when crocheting in the round. I used to laminate patterns and use post-it flags to mark where I left off so I would know where to begin the next time. These seem like obvious tips, but they prevented a lot of frustration for me.
