One thing I want to say about Grandma and Grandpa that I love is; They ALWAYS choose gifts for each child💞 most grandparents with that many grandchildren would just hand out gift cards. They don’t! It comes from their hearts!! And they are always making sure to crack jokes!!

As a Respiratory Therapist of 37 yrs, the last few yrs have been rough mentally, emotionally, and physically. I dodged Covid for 2 yrs even though every shift I am on the frontlines. Well, guess what? I got sick at work Thurs night and I tested positive for Covid!! My parents are elderly and I've missed Christmas with them since the pandemic hit. I can't risk getting them sick. Anyway, I had Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off ! My first time EVER! AND I SPENT IT ALONE. LOL. So, while watching this video, I truly cried. I miss my parents. Very beautiful ❤. If my parents were still here with us they would have done the same for all their children, grandchildren n great grandchildren. They weren’t rich but they were the richest in their hearts 💜💙. They gave us the best gifts any parents could have given their children n that was unconditional love, care, n food n a roof over our heads. Although they struggled, they have tried their best to instill their best in every one of their 8 children n it was up to us to take wat they have tried to instill into us n make the best of it or go in the opposite direction. My parents would always make sure that we were mindful. We could never go n cuss, talk down to people, nor be unappreciative at any given time. All I want to say to all is parents, be there for ur children regardless the situation. Children, cherish ur parents for they are the rock of the family. Grandchildren, be respectful to ur grandparents. And to all, be loving, caring, humble n respectful to everyone in ur family n to whomever else u come across because u never know how others are feeling or wat they are going through. Maybe next year see if there's a church putting on a free lunch, or somewhere you can help to serve. Create your own magic. It's just Mum, me and our 2 little dogs as the rest of the family don't bother with us. We went to Ithe Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services. After church we went for a walk. We met a new friend at the lunch. You could adopt an older person for Christmas. Invite them for Christmas lunch! You can sometimes have a foster child or family, too.. I hope next year is better.

I hear u on that.I have just cousins left. The only grandchildren I see on Christmas is my youngest 2 granddaughters. 15 & 16. This year is bad . No cooking at all . Pipes r frozen. I have 3 children dead , my mom & husband’ 3 months apart. My 22 year son was murdered. I don’t have any spirit left for holidays. It’s a struggle. So I know how u feel. I just watched your Christmas morning video too. I just love how all the kids appreciate what they get. Especially the tears. This was a horrible Christmas for me. The worst winter storm in all my life hit on Friday. It knocked out my power at noon and I was unable to leave my house or have someone come get me. Emergency personnel, including the fire department were getting stuck and unable to rescue people. It was so cold in my house, you could see your breath. We lit the eyes on the stove, boiled water and bundled up. I couldn't see family or cook Christmas dinner. The storm ended last night at nine. The power didn't come back on until seven this evening. Still bringing the temperature up in the house. It was less than 40°. I'm trying to wrap my head around this. I was with my aging mom and brother, who has had a stroke. I'm their caregiver. I'm usually very up for Christmas but this has been a difficult year for me. Dealing with a lot of loss. Your vlog helped me smile today ☺️ and I wanted to thank you.

Thanks for posting today! I am on day three of being stuck in my apartment. I’m in Buffalo and snowed in. So grateful to have heat and electricity, and some warm food. I am having trouble remaining positive because I wish I could be with my family who is all in from out of town, about 30 minutes away but I can’t get to them. It’s hard to feel sorry for myself when people are literally dying. Cars are abandoned, bodies being found in the snow, people on day 3 with no power no heat, stores being broken into, it’s bad. I’m trying not to let all of that minimize my feelings - I’m just so down about it all.

It's kind of a sad day for me and my son as I didn't have a single present to give him. He doesn't have any grandparents, and his father is a deadbeat that walked out of his life over a year ago. Listening to Aaron’s memory about going to church on Christmas Eve. We would go at 10.30pm to church and the service would finish just after midnight. It was a family thing. I think the most memorable Christmas was the year my mum’s brothers were home from England and we all went to church together.
