I loved your Heart of Glass. It does fit you beautifully! I can't wait to get your Follow Your Path socks. Congrats on the new sock pattern! I have got to try the Knit Pro zings. I almost bought some yesterday and then opted for the cable from Chiao goo because I needed to do a rib on a sweater and forgot my other long cable is on another sweater lol Your niece is a very lucky young lady to have an Aunt like you to knit her a knitted item every year and genius to use a yarn that she can wear the heck out of! As a military wife I can totally relate to the stress level of moving and everything that comes with that. Thank goodness for knitting and Jesus.

Terrific podcast! Glad you're settling in! All that knitting! That is the cutest little poncho! Saw it and loved it to! Loved your bags and all your knitting! Going to check out that shawl pattern! Glad you're getting to Yuma to see your friends ! Wish I had a local yarn shop! Felici was sold out before I could order. :( Be well Kay!

Hello! I came to your podcast by way of the Girls in the Yarn café. Both your podcast and their podcast are excellent! I don't think I'd handle desert-life. In New Zealand we only really have one poisonous insect and that's the Katipo spider, which is rarely seen and lives in some coastal areas in things like drift wood on the beach. Still, they're rare. We don't have scorpions. The one and only time I saw a scorpion (a dead one) was while in Venice, Italy - I had no idea that they'd be there! Ugh. Australia, our next-door neighbour, on the other hand has LOTS of poisonous insects, reptiles etc. So if you want to visit downunder, come to New Zealand! I'm envious of your ability to get Knitpicks - they don't deliver to N.Z. Hopefully one day they will! : )

I feel for you about the scorpions. I lived a few yrs with my grandfather when I was a teen. The house they lived on had a cement foundation which had a few cracks in it.... Those icky scorpions would come out of the cracks and I was stung several times by them :( The worst thing for me was to see them on the ceiling of the den.... would scare me so much, as I was afraid they would drop on me and sting me.... This was just me and my fears.. I am not saying they do that. :) On a brighter note, I love your sock design and your other knitting. Letting your son choose his sock yarns was a great idea. I also like your idea of knitting your niece something each year. :)

Oh my goodness Cynthia! That would be terrifying!
@cynthiasuniga90506 жыл бұрын
It was, but only when they dropped from the ceiling :) And we didn't see them up there very often maybe once in six months or so. :)

Soo happy your podcasting regularly again and settling in! Ikea is the BEST! I live over 3 hours away so I order online a lot and shipping is quite reasonable too. Also I just started knitting socks for my 6 year old son who is turning out to be very knit worthy. My older son isn't really interested in it. I found out I only need 1 skein of knit picks felici for his socks if you ever want to set up a trade or want to sell off some of your single skeins. P.S. I live in Maine if you are interested in a Maine Been there mug.

Hey Whitney!! I would LOVE to work out a trade or sell some of the single skeins! And of course I would be interested in a Main Been There mug! Message me on instagram! :) Maybe....some of my single skeins for a mug? ;-)

I have a question that I am hoping you can answer. I usually use a size 2 needle when knitting my socks. However, I bought this new sock yarn and it states to use a size 1 needle. If I do that do I change the number of stitches in my sock pattern to achieve my “perfect sock fit”? Love your Podcast. Thank you so much. Have a great day.
@CrazySockLady6 жыл бұрын
So sorry for the delayed response! It has been a busy week with my husband traveling for work. You may find that you need to do cast on more stitches if you use a smaller needle to make up for the difference in needle size. I would see what the gauge is in the pattern, and compare it to your gauge on a sock that you have knit in a size 2 needle and then go from there.

Another wonderful episode. I started watching you at the end of last year, so I decided to start watching your back episodes. I have been hearing a lot about lila Styles bags. Since my birthday is coming up I decided to buy a bag. I bought her Little Shop Of Horrors bag. I saw it a few weeks ago and could not stop thinking about it. So I figured that meant I needed to buy one , right?

OMG Kay did you see the hocus-pocus bag Lila Styles has.. I really feel like I need that in my life!!!!! Update:: Just order one. I couldn’t not get it. I just kept going back and looking at it

Scorpions, the Bain of desert living! Keep fresh garlic on hand and if one of you does get stung cut a piece and put it on the sting. They, like everything in the desert, are looking for water. That's why you'll see them in you bathroom. I look forward to watching your Videos especially since your back in AZ!

Ohhh, good to know! I so hope none of us get stung but I'll be happy to know a trick should it happen!

Scorpions! yuck. After my son left home it took me years to learn how to deal with spiders. I'm over 60 and can just do it. Don't think I could ever handle a scorpion. Hope you don't have any while Eric is away. :)
