I adopted my youngest daughter through unusual circumstances which took 5 long years to finalize. For myself it felt slightly anticlimactic as she was my daughter already in my heart. But when I told her she ran to my father, (who was also adopted) and said "Grampa, now I am your REAL granddaughter forever and ever and ever and ever!!. That's when it felt real.

Melinda don’t ever feel ashamed for getting fired over caring for ur sick child. I, myself, have been a single mom from when my daughter was 3 1/2. Believe me, I’ve worked n was finishing up college at the time n I have made it clear to my employer that if my daughter becomes ill while I were at work that I would need to leave regardless to care for my child. With that being said, when my daughter was 4 years old in preschool, she ended up running a fever of 103 n I have rushed her to the emergency room. There they took tests on her n Lord behold, tests came back n she was diagnosed with leukemia. My world then turned upside down. Called my boss to inform him what was going on with her n he told me to take as much time as I needed off n that if I ever needed anything for me to let him know. I also had to let her teacher know the reason my daughter wouldn’t be attending school for awhile n that teacher broke down n cried n gave my daughter her phone number n said that if we ever needed anything that she would be there for us. It’s now 25 years later n that lady is still a part of our family n my daughter is cancer free but still goes for testing every year just to make sure it hasn’t came back. So u see, Melinda, there are good, caring employers out there n if any employer’s u have can’t sympathize with u, then move on because there’s always more jobs out there in the world. From what Melinda said happened it is wrong. But at the same time, as a single mom you need to be responsible. Maybe the more responsible thing to do would've been to hold her tongue to be sure she didn't get fired so she's able to provide for her daughter. Being a single mom is hard enough without a job makes it harder. We all do things we don't want to do. Sometimes you just got to stick it out.

My stepdaughter is only 8 years younger than I am as her husband is almost twenty years my senior. Also my husband and I have a 2 and 2 1/2 year old daughter together. We biologically it would be weird. I’d be 8 yrs old when I had my stepdaughter but I love being a positive mother/older mentor to her. I love both my girls so much and want to see them both succeed! So glad that Melynda has loving parents/role models in her life. Regardless of age that is so important for anyone to have.

This is when people need to watch how they act around other peoples children, people need to remember that when a child is ill all mummies will act differently especially when they're stressed. Melinda, In my opinion the dealership made a huge mistake letting you go. At almost 50k subs now, how many of those could be potential buyers....hahaha. How many could that other lady bring? Keep making good content and watch things take off. You now have the freedom to do your new job literally anywhere in the world.

It doesn't work that way. You need to have over 100k views per video inorder for you to make a living with just KZbin money. Subscriber count doesn't matter that much but ideally you need over 100k subs to get a lot of views. Melinda is a baby KZbinr and can probably get some paid sponsorships to get her by but she would need to sign up for programs that do that. Usually you need over 1k subs so she meets that market. Whether that can give her a guarantee livable income per month is risky with sponsorships

A man gave my 14 year old step daughter a dirty look and it was over for him 🤣 my mother in law had to reel me in because I was not okay with what he did. The dirty look was in response to her lightly tapping on her theater program prior to the ballet starting. She was tapping along to prerecorded music. You really had to be carefully listening to hear it. I told the man to turn down his darn hearing aid if this was bothersome because the orchestra along with percussion was about to start playing. If he couldn’t handle the tapping he’s going to have a heck of a time with live music.

I hope that lady who was mean to Scarlett felt bad about what she has done!! In my old job who I absolutely busted a gut for, I had a rare day off and my boss asked me to come in, I said I would have no childcare at short notice and she started questioning me what were my parents doing that day that meant they couldn’t look after my daughter. I was like what the heck! I don’t know why I put up with that place for so long honestly. My current job is the total opposite! I got a call from my sons school to say he had a bad nosebleed and my boss immediately grabbed her car keys and drove me to the town his school is in as I can’t drive and the bus takes ages. They are so accommodating to employees aswell, it’s a much nicer atmosphere to work in! x

I've changed my name without being adopted or married 😊 I'm sure it's different in your state, but it starts in the family court like you said. Then, it's just submitting the court order and change-of-name forms all over the place! It is a hassle 😅
