What great staff and treatment at the eye Dr. I wish our eye dr’s did such thorough exams, I have colour blindness never found out until my early 20’s. In high school I had pink and peach and to me they were the same colour and I didn’t understand why my friends were mocking me. Funny I still remember that it all made sense once diagnosed. My youngest granddaughter had to have glasses at age 2! We didn't realise how bad her eye sight was, my daughter felt bad about it, but as the optician said its hard for a parent to know if their child needs to wear them or not..especially if the child is coping in their own way to navigate things. She's 7years old now and lives wearing her glasses. Don't feel bad Melinda, your doing a fab job of raising Scarlett 🥰

My youngest niece needed glasses at a young age too, I can’t remember if she was 3 or 4 or maybe younger. My sister (her mom) needed glasses that young too so it was bound to happen. Her dad has glasses and contacts too. My youngest nephew has been lucky so far

Mum of two boys here, in Australia. Remember this happening with my boy about his hearing though he was 4, past all hearing test though it helped in finding out his had autism -aspergers. Never feel bad as your an incredibly job and been a super mum by yourself ❤ its more common then we realise how all of us are different and makes us special keep up the great work love your videos hope you and scarlet having a great day ❤ .

I totally understand what you were talking about that you hadn’t noticed anything I went through the same thing when my son had his 6 or 7 years old and come to find out he was almost legally blind in one eye and the other was doing the work of two but with the glasses he has been able to strengthen that eye and not be as bad as it was or needing to do patch therapy. Scarlet did awesome with the dr so glad she didn’t have to get them

Oh I'm so glad she didnt need them yet! Although, if she did..it would've been ok too. She would've looked adorable. But it is tough when they're so young. My daughter got them right before kindergarten. And she was actually super happy to get them but I think it's cuz she could finally see right. I felt so bad once I learned she needed them. I never suspected it cuz her dad and I both have good eyes personally and in the family. But for as long as I can remember..when she'd watch tv from afar..she'd turn her head sideways and look at the tv like that. I thought it was just a cute little quirk she had cuz it wasn't all the time and she made the cutest little face when she did. But turns out it was cuz she had an astigmatism! I almost cried cuz mom guilt got me since she had been seeing the way she was for about 2-4 years. But it's hard to know when they're little cuz they can't tell the difference either!
