I use the Electrum E and really like it. A friend of mine has used Electrum for years and recently switched to CRBN. He says it’s way more durable and he’s sold on it. Like to see more videos!

I got my Electrum E last June and it still performs like day 1. I heard the Electrum Pro paddles from a few years ago were not as well built as the newer ones or the E model.

Electrum claims to use only the highest quality Carbon Fiber. Is the CRBN using a superior type for the face?

@@kimleith1378 According to their websites, both companies use a raw Toray T700 carbon fiber face with a honeycomb polypropylene core. Electrum only has whole honeycombs on the face which means no open gaps along the edge of the paddle. Not sure if CRBN copied that as well.

@@DaveLL500 I knew about the closed cell poly with Electrum. I was hoping a strong grade carbon fiber would keep the cells from collapsing over time which create the dead spots. For the money I'll stay with Gearbox,

It’s actually pretty balanced top to bottom and light to heavy… in comparison the Ben johns joola paddle is head heavy and heavier weight wise as well.
