I knit for over 55 years, always have had a very busy life ; a full time job of my own plus admin support to my husbands enterprise and having a family to take care of. My knitting time was sometimes limited but I kept on knitting through all these years ! Now I have more time available to commit myself to be able to meet deadlines for test knits. This is a new experience which I enjoy so very much. Every pattern I have testknitted makes me so happy and fulfilled. I have so much respect for all you designers. The energy you put in your patterns does not stop with the finished pattern. It keeps on boosting the testknitters and everybody else involved the creation process. Believe me. 🙃😆

Hi Rebecca, I’m currently a nursing student, so my free time is quite limited these days.. literally nothing makes me happier than having a spare hour to catch up on some of my favorite knitting podcasts while getting to also put a little effort towards my own projects. :) Happy knitting everyone!

My new baby twins, toddler and husband are making me happy right now! I’m feeling I have so much to be grateful for, having healthy new babies and a toddler that is an amazing new big sib! And knitting podcasts are helping me stay connected with making even when I don’t have much time for actually making. Thanks for your lovely podcast!

I’m enjoying two things this fall: first is the return of sweater weather, the second is preserving the harvest from my garden. We made 18 gallons of apple cider and have canned tomatoes and green chili tomatillo salsa so far. So rewarding to feed yourself from a garden. Your projects are so amazing and you are a breath of fresh air. I can’t wait to knit your designs. Congratulations on your very successful pattern release ❤🧶😊

I'm taking a few online classes right now and so I spend a lot of time at home. What's been making me really happy lately is that, because it's getting colder, my cats have been curling up in my lap under my blanket as I study and/or knit on the sofa. Love from an animal is such a joy-giver!!!

Hi Rebecca. We live half time in a small town in Italy where there are few people who still knit, and no yarn to purchase for about 13km or as close as my computer. Buying yarn on line is like reading ebooks instead of actually holding a book! Yesterday, at a gathering about 120km away, two women who knit were present. What a treat to share projects with them! That made me so happy, especially since the gathering was at one of their homes, and her FOs were right there. Oh yes, one advantge of having two homes is having TWO stashes, both very different from one another.

Rebecca you are the one podcast that I get SO excited about and I save your episodes for the evening when I'm sitting in my favourite chair with tea and knitting (rather than just listening while cooking or folding laundry etc). I'm so happy about the cooler weather right now and pretty fall colours. I'm doing the last few rows of ribbing on the body of my sweater no 9 by my favourite things and I'm so excited I'll have it ready for this fall/winter. Also finishing up a stockinette scarf in the round which I work on during work meetings or social events. I just got back from my honeymoon trip, a highlight was going to Espace Tricot in Montreal and I'm determined to finish my current projects and then cast on with all the yarn I picked up there!

My fibre arts journey really began with crochet and I really struggled with garments as a plus sized person in a hot climate country. I picked up knitting again properly after 14 years of not touching a set of needles and finally cast on a garment thanks to watching your podcasts and inspired by your beautiful makes. I cast on a No Frills Sweater a few weeks ago and it has brought me so much joy seeing it come together and its fitting absolutely perfectly!🥺🥰😊

Congratulations on your beautiful pattern, soon to be plural!! And on your year anniversary. I think I’ve watched from nearly the beginning and always look forward to sitting in with you. You have such enthusiasm and I really like your eye for color! I’m SO pleased to hear the Cargill will soon be available as a cowl. The pattern is GORGEOUS, but as a person with too little time to knit, I was afraid it would take me too long to complete. I look forward to the cowl for trying the lovely stitch pattern! And then the cabled sweater 😮. Even lovelier. It’s so classic, but cool. I’m in love with that. I’ve just cast on a sweater with a sleeve cable (Koyamae)… maybe by the time your pattern is ready, I’ll be ready for an all-over cable project!❤ Both of your pairs of glasses suit you adorably. And the quality of your new camera is terrific, I can understand your excitement and how wonderful you were able to fund it with your pattern sales! Good for you!

Hi Rebecca: I really enjoy your podcast. I am at Rhinebeck this weekend which is awesome. Friday I went to Wool & Folk, a side event to Rhinebeck, which was great. This event had a podcaster patio and I saw the Grocery Girls from Edmonton in Canada. Sitting with them was Gaye, GG Made It, and Adella, Lolabean Yarn Co. Saturday, I met Andrea Mowry, and Natalie who is the Knitty knatty podcaster out of New York. I took a couple of classes on Thursday and Friday. It was just an awesome week of all things fiber and knitting. It was great to people watch and see all the knitted sweaters. Of course, there were many people who knitted Andrea’s Rhinebeck sweater, Alpenglow 1. I am hoping some day to visit other fiber festivals around Europe. I am looking forward to your release of the Kerr pattern. Take care, Debbie.

Congratulations on your success with Cargill, it’s well-deserved! This was such a timely episode because I’m swatching for Lento and you are the best swatching buddy! Love the chatter, and your new set-up. I vote for buying a larger memory card because you are such a natural, why limit the joy? Happy knitting!
